Super pricey. 38 dollars for 1 margarita and 1 old fashion tax was over 10% plus a surcharge or service fee. Drinks were good and loved the mining atmosphere and stuff.

I visited Black Nugget Bar last friday along with my colleague from work. Friday night being the weekend we were expecting a good crowd and our wish was heard.
Being new to Aspen, one of my friends from Carbondale recommended this place to me. The entry charges were 3 dollars each.
The bar looks chic and classic. The bartender was courteous as well. I asked him to go ahead with Colorado based brewed beer. His choice of beer was really good. I ended up drinking three mugs of it. My friend went ahead with cocktails and his review was also positive.
The band playing live music took the energy to the next level and we ended up dancing as well along with drinking. The crowd was also top notch. I ended up making a few friends. I highly recommend this place to seekers of all sorts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here! I am going back soon here.

My friend got roofied here over the weekend. We were at a restaurant before the nugget, people mentioned “be careful there, that’s where people get roofied”. It must happen a lot.

They don’t pour good and the bands suck consistently. The bathroom situation is super weird without any locks so anyone can walk in on you. I would never bring my lady here.

Well, I walked a half an hour to get to this place from out of town to sing at least one song of karaoke. But I’m an hour and a half too early. That’s a little too late to start karaoke.

I came back to Carbondale to visit my old stomping grounds. Felt like I was back at home. The bartenders name was Jessica. I ordered specialty Margarita with fresh squeeze lime juice. My friend told me that they probably would not be able to make it. To my surprise, Jessica made one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had not to mention, she was a little easy on the eyes. I did pay extra, but it was totally worth it. Six stars.
