Had a wonderful visit at The Black Forest Brewery Oct. 25th, 2025 before our wedding began in Lititz later that afternoon! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was just perfect, had the pleasure of hanging out with the owner Denise (a childhood friend) and her friendly staff that made our visit so enjoyable. We all were from Reading PA., Chicago, Iowa and Knoxville TN, Waxhaw,NC, & San Francisco and we had a blast! Thank you for the start of our great day.

This is a cute little place. We got here a little after open to enjoy lunch. The service was excellent, and the food options gave you enough to think about.

This is a great nano brewery in Ephrata. The staff is amazing. They will take great care of you when you visit.

Parking is very limited to street parking and a small lot across the street that is technically for the historical society. They didn’t seem to have enough staff for how many people were here, but the food was worth the wait. On the more expensive side, but the proportions were very generous. The drinks, especially the black cherry bourbon sour were good, and they were great with bringing the kids’ food with the apps (they actually arrived first!) we sat outside because we needed a lower table, so there was noise from the road but it wasn’t too bad.

Excellent food and great service. The menu was clearly marked with gluten free items (as well as dairy free and vegan/vegetarian options). As someone with food allergies I really appreciate this. The bun for my burger was actually good! The staff was knowledgeable and caring. The restaurant itself was small and friendly, plus well maintained and clean. Great pub feel. Fantastic experience and delicious food. We’ll be back.

Walked in here for dinner . I had a glass of wine of wine and a salad . Food was good and tasty . Service was quick . I like the interior decor . This is second time I have been here . My experience has been good so far . Last time I had the ahi tuna sandwich and that’s a great tasty sandwich. Recommend to visitors in the area!

This place is a hidden gem. It is small inside but the food and drinks were wonderful. They are safe for those with celiac – my husband was able to have fried chicken bites, wings, and tater tots. They have a separate fryer and were super aware of protocols for celiac safety. Parking can be a little tricky but it was a fun place to go on a Saturday for lunch.

What a hidden gem in Ephrata. A friend told me about his place and it was worth the 20-min drive from Lancaster. Sat outside on the porch and a wonderful meal with friends.. I love how it’s located on a quiet side street. Had the specials and the beer was excellent too!

Ordered a medium burger and was given a beyond welldone burger. Every bite was a disappointment as all I could taste was this burnt nasty flavor that was definitely not worthy of a $17 burger. Waitress didn’t come around much, and when I mentioned the issue, I wasn’t even offered a new one, just a discounted price for a nasty burger. Waitress said it was normal for a charcoal grill, but I’ve had burgers made perfectly fine on a charcoal grill before. This was just completely burnt flavored and gross, which is not worthy of said price. So basically, I paid $17 for a beer and fries, still felt ripped off as I couldn’t even finish half of this burger. Left no tip since I got overcharged for fries and a beer. I won’t be coming back here again, which is a shame as I’ve heard nothing but good things. A medium burger has red in it, you’ll have to order a rare if you want medium. The atmosphere was good, just an overall disappointing experience for the price with food, and I left hungry as the burger was inedible. Next time, maybe consider offering to remake the food instead of handing the check.
