Black Diamond Bakery is such a great spot! It has that cozy small-town feel, and everything smells amazing when you walk in.
The pastries and breads are always fresh – I tried the cinnamon roll and sourdough, and both were incredible. The staff are super friendly and give good recommendations.
It’s the perfect place to grab breakfast, enjoy a coffee, and relax for a bit. You can really tell they care about what they make.
Definitely worth the stop if you’re anywhere near the area!

loooooved everything! i had the gobbler with chips and broccoli salad. it was so good! my sweet boyfriend had the eggs benedict and he loved it. we took some pastries with us (cream cheese danish, macaroon brownie, lemon bar, and chocolate doughnut). all the pastries were awesome, too!

I met a friend for breakfast here when I was in town for Thanksgiving. I hadn’t been here since I was a kid! Breakfast and that view was wonderful. They had so many pastries/baked goods to choose from—highly recommend their version of almond roca. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in town.

While the food was pretty good, the service was not. My bisquits and gravy came out stone cold. It took three requests for a tea order, water never refilled, and the server never cleared half our plates when we sat there for 20 minutes after finishing our meal.

We went in for breakfast at this bakery that has been open since 1902 (I think). It was quite busy and popping. We were able to get seated pretty quickly, and got some complimentary peaches and a blueberry muffin. We ordered some banana crepes, eggs Benedict, egg breakfast with bacon and coffees all around. The portion sizes are pretty huge! You could share if entrees if you wanted but they do charge a minimal $3 fee. Everything was fresh, hot and enjoyable. Definitely recommend if you’re quaint little Black Diamond.

Chicken fried steak is probably the best I’ve had anywhere! Parking can be tight during popular times and/or days.

I had the veggie omelette. Nice portion size, they sauteed the veggies before putting in the omelette which was nice except for the spinach, would have rather not have had that cooked before. Other than that it had a nice flavor. The hash browns were tasty and the homemade biscuit was light and fluffy. My sister had the chicken fried steak. The gravy was delish, so next time I’ll get the biscuits gravy.

Cozy diner with fantastic view of Mount Rainier with excellent food. We had chicken fried steak and BLT sandwich. Fried and steak were excellent, the gravy was perfect. BLT was good but felt the bacon was little overcooked other than that overall taste of the sandwich was nice. Their fries and sweet potato fries are also excellent. They have nice kids meal options as well. They have a wonderful bakery with wide variety of pastries and other goodies.

The BLT was the best I’ve ever had, thick bacon and a bunch of it, bread was perfect too. The fries were flavor blasted. This was way better today than I remembered a couple years ago.
