Black Circle Bistro is pure happiness—pinball, from-scratch kitchen magic, and an all-around great vibe . From the moment I sat down, Jace set the tone with the perfect attitude and style, and knew the menu inside and out.
Everything is homemade and thoughtfully done with local products, which really shines through. And can we talk about the non-alcoholic beverage selection? Hands down the best I’ve seen anywhere—so many great options.
The house-made chips were irresistible, especially paired with every single sauce (yes, all of them). Absolutely worth a visit and one I’ll be happily repeating.
Check out the specials cause seriously they are special.

Everything was so delicious! The fries were amazing, definitely get them with some of the dips. We had The Dolly and The Black Heart burger and inhaled both they were so good. Jace was our server and was so friendly and helpful. Overall a fantastic time, definitely check out this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed!

Tried this place for the first time after seeing the awesome Google reviews. It did not disappoint! The food was great! I had the Cowboy Dan and will agree it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in WV. My friend had the chicken sandwich (don’t remember what it was called) and it was equally delicious.
The vibe is cool as well. We loved that the dog could join us on the patio and the pinball arcade drives home the atmosphere! The parking is a little difficult, but it is what it is.
Overall, it is a simple and rustic experience, bu that is it’s charm.

My wife and I were driving through and thought we’d give the Bistro a try based off the reviews we read.
Overall, it’s okay: the food is okay, the service is not bad but slow, and the atmosphere is just okay.
After we ordered, it was over 30 minutes before we got our food. There were only people at two other tables.
I had the Tammy with macaroni salad and my wife had the Dolly with macaroni salad. We both thought the macaroni salad was really good.
However, our sandwiches left something to be desired. On my Tammy, there was some pepper jelly but it was a very thin layer and hard to taste; there was some pimento cheese but it was a very thin, small amount and you couldn’t tell it was there; and the chicken breast was thin but overall tasty. I took my sandwich apart to see if the items were on it because I couldn’t easily see or taste them.
My with had the Dolly and had the same type of issues. There were only two sliced tomatoes on it, the pepper jelly was not really visible or taste able, and the bread seemed like it was stale.
Be careful of switching sides. While you are told about an additional charge; what is a $0.50 difference on the menu becomes a $2 up charge.
The waitress was friendly and courteous. However, the time it took to get the food to the table was too long.

The food was great! Fresh hot with a just right and unique flavor profile. Our server tonight was Jace! She was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the food, its ingredients, and where they were sourced. I was happy to hear how much of the menu is made in house or sourced from other local businesses. This was a great meal stop on our road trip from our vacation in Florida back to home in New York State.

Food was great! We ordered the Cowboy Dan burger, Granny burger and a WV dog. Everything is great! The Appalachian sauce was really good on the house made chips too. I think this will be our go-to spot every time we are in the area. Bonus points: our dog was welcome on the patio!

We read the great reviews, and we’re so happy we stopped for lunch. The atmosphere is definitely quirky, and we were initially concerned when we found out there’s no air conditioning. But it was plenty cool with fans. And the food was fantastic! I got the Tammy chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, pepper jam and bacon. My husband got the WV dogs. We also tried a pepperoni roll since it’s a local favorite. And because our meal was so delicious, we had to get two chocolate chip cookies to go. The service was great, too. If we’re ever back in town, we’ll definitely come back!

Phenomenal. The quality of the food for the price is amazing, everything locally sourced and their claim that it tastes homemade is 100% accurate. I haven’t had a burger that good in a long time, and I would make the drive from Charleston just for those crinkle fries. Pictured is “The Stank” burger with ramp mayo, grilled onions and a side of fries & “Heavy Paw Paw” with fried bologna, a fried egg and a side of their potato salad. The vibe 10/10 (cute, fun, no pressure, no overwhelming music), the service 11/10 (food came out in 8-10 minutes), the flavor 12/10

Genuinely one of the best experiences I have ever had. I came pretty close to closing which always makes me nervous but the staff (the sweetest girl with green and black hair) was so nice and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience in the slightest. The food was awesome, the atmosphere was so vibey. Everything was 10000/10. I will definitely be back!
