After waiting patiently to order while a new employee was being trained, I opted for a small crème brûlée iced latte. I asked for cold foam, but was not told it would be an up charge and then sadly that was all I could taste. Two small lattes, one shot of expresso each, and cold foam on top = $18.97. The coffee shop itself is beautiful, and has a clean and cozy vibe but the price did not pay off for the flavor or experience.

I got a Latte Coffee only, shots pulled looked watery/weak. Plain latte was flavorless and did not taste like espresso at all. Great place if you like the sugary type of coffees or “lite” coffee flavor. I ended up buying and adding a chai teabag to make a dirty latte to give it some flavor.
Atmosphere is nice though and service was stellar! They also have an awesome selection of tea bags.

Love this old house/coffee shop. They have a huge menu of specialty coffees and the staff is incredibly warm. Food options are limited but they seem to be ok with people bringing in their own food. Cute place I always stop when I’m in the area!

The coffee was delicious but the service was not great at all.
One cashier greeted me and told me to take my time while I order, but the other
cashier that actually took my order just stared at me, never greeted me, after I said hello, she walked in fast past me and my hubby while we were waiting , not a word was said. The atmosphere was very cozy but the interaction was not at all. We were traveling and passed by decided to stop.
Hopefully this establishment will gain employees that will enjoy helping customers

Great coffee spot! Unique shop in an old house, with great character and finds inside. Superb coffee selection with rotating hot brews and an extensive latte/frappe menu. TONS of sugar free flavors !! Will be back next time in Lexington.

Wow, this place is perfect for anyone needing 47 different mocha, latte and frappe sugar free options. I got a Mud Slide Mocha and it is really tasty. Thank you to Jordan for suggesting it, she is the best. Really nice atmosphere with plenty of seating inside and out. Will be back soon.

Black Chicken Coffee House is a cozy little place. It’s homey furniture allows you to kick back and relax while enjoying your coffee, tea, latte or one of the many other drink selections. Don’t forget to grab a muffin or other treat at the counter. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. There are gifts to buy for yourself or someone special. I will say that it is not my first choice for coffee, but that’s me. I’m very picky. The coffee was tasty and the muffin was too. The atmosphere is relaxing and not rushed. It’s definitely worth a visit.

The coffee is good and staff is friendly which isn’t the issue. This issue is the unprofessionalism from the owners when I happened to be getting coffee and the guy owner was bashing an employee Outloud in front of other customers to point she stepped away upset. I dont know how you think this is ok with running a business but I dont see it lasting if you have no respect for your employees. And from what I hear yall cant keep employees lately and I wonder why
