Service was good and very accommodating. Enjoyed the atmosphere.
For appetizer we had fried calamari which was good. Given my tomato allergy, they prepared a remoulade sauce which was also delicious…
Food was very good. Had the fish and chips which included an abundance of fries and delicious coleslaw. Also we had the open face steak with a dipping sauce and fries. very yummy too!
Was too busy for 6pm on a Thursday night. Plenty of open seating inside. Bar was full of patrons that were enjoying themselves and a little loud at times. But enjoyed the back and forth bantering.
After being seated I saw a wedge salad go by. Count me in for that and it did not disappoint. Hats off to the team in the plating. True visual masterpiece and tasted just as good. Nice chunks of blue cheese and bacon portions. Ranks up at the top of the list for me and wedge salads.
Then move to dinner. Menus was full of great choices, but hadn’t eaten seafood this week so got the fish and chips. Fries were good, Cole slaw definitely worth the “gas”! Now let’s talk about the fish. Nice tempura batter and fish was flaky. Four pieces and portions were larger than other restaurants I have eaten at. Tartar sauce you eat with a spoon and I had to get more.
Still have a few more trips this year to the area and looking forward to a return visit.
Edit: came back around the way here and the burgers weren’t as good as I remembered
The cod was a massive piece which is a good value but made for a clunky sammich. All in all its good but nothing that will wow you over atm.
