Last night, my husband and I dined at Black and Blue in Burlington Ma. We had a reservation. This was our first time here, and it did not disappoint. It was not overly noisy, and the lighting was good. The tables had single roses on them (it was Valentine’s Day). Brady(the waiter’s asst.) brought us our water and bread; four small rolls, two were pretzel rolls. They were tasty and warm. Patrick was our waiter. He was friendly and attentive. We went with the Wagyu meatballs and Caesar Salad to start. The salad was large enough for two(wish we had known that) It was tasty but not exceptional. Now this was our personal taste, but we did not love the meatballs. I liked them, my husband not at all. But, along came the main course, which we loved. I had the 7 oz filet with two scallops. My husband had the porterhouse. These were served on a sizzling plate. We also had mashed potatoes and mushrooms. They were both excellent. We did not opt for dessert. FYI, they do not have their own parking lot. There are several large areas adjacent to the restaurant for parking, no valet. We will definitely be back.

The pasta was cooked well but I didn’t like the lobster that came with it
From the appetizers we also opted for the molten cheese with lobster, it was mostly cheese.
The calamari appetizer was good
The waitress was a little mix of attitude / trying to be funny
Apple crisp was not crispy enough / had crumble enough
Overall decent but not aching to go back
Came again. Same thought. Edible not amazing good service tho

Anthony and Melissa our hostess for the night was excellent they made sure my best friend enjoyed his first time and bday.I recommend this place and location, and maybe you can experience the night I had.

It was my first time dining at Black and Blue and I had went with my daughter and a coworker. The atmosphere gave a fancy yet warm and cozy vibe. The Decor was beautiful. The lamps that gave a perfect lighting hung like a drooping flower. We had a stunning waitress named Samantha who was very informative and attentive. They had different water options and we chose sparkling water. They also provided two kinds of free fresh bread. The food didn’t take much time to arrive it was ready and hot. We ordered the oyster sampler for an appetizer, Ribeye steak, porterhouse steak, a lobster tail,creamy spinach, red skinned mashed potatoes and a vanilla cheese cake for dessert. All of the food was cooked just right and was so delicious! The steak was juicy and cooked to perfection with a crispy goodness on the outside and topped with melted truffle butter. So yummy! Overall I rate our experience there a 10/10. I definitely enjoyed such an experience.

Dinner was amazing i ordered lobster bucatini for dinner and crab cakes. My friend ordered steak medium done with shrimp and a lemon one the sude with fries 10/10. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning. My waiters were absolutely fantastic they very attentive the food is amazing very flavorful the cook did an immaculate job with our plates. I would rate more than 5 star If possible. Highly would recommend this resturant

I’m really disappointed to be writing this because Black & Blue used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, this last experience completely changed that for me.
The bartender was rude and inattentive, and we waited a long time for just about everything — drinks, food, and even basic check-ins. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests.
To make matters worse, my steak was overcooked and the bread was hard and stale. For a steakhouse that I’ve loved in the past, this was incredibly disappointing.
Sadly, this experience was enough that I won’t be back. I really hope they turn things around, because it used to be a place I truly enjoyed.

As always, I’m never disappointed with B&B. My son wanted to have his 10th birthday dinner at B&B. He absolutely enjoyed himself. The service was top tier as always and the food, what can I say besides AMAZING!!! He is already making plans for next year’s birthday dinner, lol. Thank you, B&B, for always going above and beyond.

Black and Blue exceeded all my expectations! The specialty cocktails were expertly crafted and the perfect start to the evening. I highly recommend trying one—or two! The crab cake was nothing short of phenomenal, packed with generous amounts of lump crab meat that melted in your mouth. As for the ribeye, it was cooked to absolute perfection. I decided to top it with blue crab meat, and it was a game-changer—a rich, savory addition that elevated the entire dish. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable night out. Can’t wait to return!

Black & Blue Steak and Crab in Burlington has a solid concept that promises a premium surf and turf experience, but the execution across food, service, and atmosphere all sit in average territory. The steaks and seafood are decent but lack the wow factor you’d expect from a dedicated steak and crab house — flavors are there but the preparation and presentation could be more refined. Service and atmosphere are similarly middle of the road. With higher standards across the board, this place could really deliver on its bold name.
