Black Bird Coffee House has easily become one of my favorite spots in town. Their boba is seriously some of the best around (maybe the only place around for boba ) always fresh, flavorful, and made just right every time. Whether it’s a classic flavor or something fun and new, it never disappoints.
The customer service is always amazing too. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you walk through the door. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable the moment you step inside.
Black Bird Coffee House perfectly captures that true small-town hospitality. If you’re looking for great drinks and even better vibes, this is the spot. ☕ ✨

Absolutely amazing experience every time I come. The furniture is beautiful, antiques in forms of valuable books and knowledge if you look closely around the shop. I love old vintage books and the decore of the shop. The staff is always kind and willing to help you find what you are looking for. Many flavor options for coffees, teas, and energy drinks. Smoothies and protein shakes also!! All around a wonderful place to be.

Cute little place. Wish the added flavors were a little stronger, but still very lovely.

My wife and I split an apple panini! It was so good best sandwich I’ve had in a long time! And their coffee is awesome!

I drove out of my way to come here to hang out at a local coffee shop, but when I got here a little before noon and asked for a plain brewed coffee, the barista said, “We don’t actually have any made right now, but we could do an Americano or something like that for you.” And the way she said it was almost implying she didn’t want to brew more regular coffee. I took a look at the rest of the menu, there was no cold brew and I wasn’t really feeling anything else, so I just said, “Man, alright, I guess I’ll just pass then, but thanks!” And I got the Gen Z stare. I’m gen Z too and I’ve worked in food for four years, so I get it in certain scenarios when guests ask something weird or are rude or whatever, but that was a weird service experience from my perspective. No sorry or thanks for stopping in or anything. What kind of coffee shop that’s open until 7pm doesn’t have (and implies they don’t want to make more) coffee?
I’m always rooting for and supporting local coffee shops and the atmosphere here seems great, but sheesh. Not having and implying that I can’t have just a regular cup of coffee at a coffee shop (that’s open for another 7 hours, mind you) is a first for me. Three stars because I did think the vibes were nice and I’m giving the benefit of the doubt on the rest of the menu, but dinging two because again, negative aura from the barista and… no coffee at a *coffee* shop..? Don’t really leave reviews ever, but I kinda just dropping this as a warning to the owners in case this isn’t a one-off fluke and they aren’t aware it’s happening. Hoping my experience was a fluke and wishing the best to this shop because Iowa small towns need more local coffee shops.

Has such a nice vibe and is decorated so nicely. It was my first time and they were very nice and patient while I figured out what I wanted to try. Their iced mocha wasn’t too strong, I would def go again

Got ourselves an iced latte with almond milk & a blackberry lemonade, as well as a glazed and cinnamon sugar croffle ! The highlight of our visit was meeting Misty, the coffee shop’s owner who was extremely kind and personable despite the large volume of people and orders being placed.
