My husband and I drove up to Asheville to try this restaurant, not knowing it was in a gas station. It was a waste of gas money honestly. Tremendous disappointment. Food wasn’t cooked thoroughly, server was rude throughout entire dining experience, Chrissy the server had a bad attitude and spoke down to us about all the other customers. It was very hard and uncomfortable to listen to, but we sat and nodded in an attempt to be polite about it.
The food was not good and we were talked about by the waitress because she failed to get our order correct. Our food took forever and was cold. My husband has gotten better pizza at Sam’s Club, because that food they served wasn’t good. My pizza was ok, ate one piece and boxed it to go. Haven’t touched it since. It was extremely cold and loud inside. The waitress was really hard to handle honestly. Also, at the end, the owner tried to get smart mouthed with my husband, and the owner was rude over his equipment failing. Don’t waste your time, money, or tastebuds on this place. Go somewhere where the food and customer experience are great. Waitress who insulted everyone is in pic (from their page).

Man, this place is absolutely clutch. It’s a little bit of a drive but not bad from where we live(almost 20 miles each way)
My wife and I have come here twice and both times, we had amazing service, and the food was delicious.
This evening we had Kayli as our waitress and she was super nice, and cool to chat with. My wife and I ordered “THE WHITE PIE” which has house made Alfredo sauce,
fresh garlic & mozzarella cheese, but then we added Italian sausage to it and maaaan it was SO tasty! We were the only ones there tonight almost the entire time so the pizza came out FAST! We ordered an XL size so we could enjoy leftovers tomorrow too.
If possible, ask for their garlic dipping sauce, it’s an absolute wow factor in flavor to dip your crust into, OR grab an A1 sauce packet that’s in the container on the table and use that for dipping too! The strong and zesty flavor of the A1, heavily is complimented with the Alfredo sauce.
Definitely you need to go and check them out!!

Had a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots: BOTH DELICIOUS!! This is my family’s new go to spot!! Even better is I ordered online and pulled up the drive thru window to pick up! Super convenient on a very cold evening. Employee was super nice. I can’t wait to try more of the menu.

I’ve been enjoying restaurants and cafes attached to gas stations over the past year. So far I haven’t had a bad experience. Black Bear Pizza did not disappoint. The service was friendly and efficient, the Greek salad was as good as other online reviewers say it is, and the personal pepperoni pizza was tasty (they make their dough from scratch). I also loved that they had kids drawings on the wall. So fun!

My parents and I visited for lunch today. It was our first time trying your place. Everything was amazing from the service, too the food quality, even down to the home made rich dressing. I had the 11 inch steak philly and my parents each had a sub. We left happy and with full stomachs. Christy was our server and she was incredible. Darryl is also an cool dude. Darryl was telling me about your delivery service as well. Not sure if its good news that my work place is in your delivery area. Time will have to tell that one. Thanks so much for being a great local restaurant. We will definitely be back in the very near future.

Black Bear Pizza is our favorite pizza shop around! They offer half toppings pizzas, their garlic knots are to die for, and they also have very friendly staff. You can order online and pick up at the drive through windows on your way home.

Black Bear is the best. We order from there nearly every Friday night and have tried everything from wings to cheesesteak and meatball subs, pizza (of course), burgers, wraps and dessert (cake and cookie sandwiches) – everything is delicious.
