First timer here! We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was tasty and the service was amazing. Tristian was our server. He is a very polite and knowledgeable young man. He was very attentive to our needs. We even took a picture with the Black Bear! Lol. Tristian, great job sir. Black Bear Diner, bravo! We appreciate your hospitality and great food. Welcome to the neighborhood, glad you’re here. The service was certainly the highlight of our visit. From opening the doors when we arrived and when we left, to every staff member who passed by greeting us- the service was on point. There’s definitely a nice selection of options. My daughter loved her chocolate chip pancakes and my breakfast was adequate for fast casual. The biscuits were a tad dry and could definitely use more gravy. I needed to order extra gravy and it still wasn’t enough. But we’ll definitely be back to try some different options. The place looks great and we’re glad to have a new option around here.

Arrived at the special pre grand opening today, and as always, Black Bear does not disappoint! They’ve created a great atmosphere with a clean environment, and the service was attentive and friendly. The portions are huge and completely satisfying. And you absolutely have to try the onion rings—they’re a classic, crispy, diner-style perfection! I will totally come back with the family.

Delicious! Picked up breakfast to go and the whole family was impressed! Ham/Bacon/Sausage all thick and so good! Pancakes yummy and fluffy, and biscuits were amazing! Will definitely be back and highly recommend 10/10 Also, it was very busy but our pick up order was ready when we arrived! Family tore into it before I could get more pictures, but was able to get one of the biscuits.

Our server, Johnny, was absolutely amazing! I’d been craving chicken fried steak and remembered how delicious it was when I had it back in California. Since my mom was visiting, we decided to stop by — and I’m so glad we did. Johnny even adjusted our order to make sure we had just the right amount of food. The meal was fantastic, and this location definitely didn’t disappoint. Plus, it’s so close to home! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Having grown up in New Jersey, diners were always part of my life. While nothing can replace a good old mom and pop Greek diner (IMHO), I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Black Bear diner in Tomball. We arrived a little after 9:30 on a Sunday morning, so I expected to wait, but thankfully we were seated immediately. The staff was efficient and friendly, especially our server, Juan, who took very good care of us. The food was fantastic with huge portions (pictured is the “Joe’s Hobo Omlette which I thoroughly enjoyed), and the coffee gets high marks from me, and I’m pretty picky about my coffee. Overall a very pleasant experience – I’ll definitely be back.

We went for breakfast around 9:30am on a Sunday. I ordered the vegetarian omelet with egg whites, hashbrowns and a bisquit. It did NOT disappoint. The food tastes homemade and the bisquit was as big as a softball. We would definitely go here again! Portions are HUGE and worth every penny!

Food was delicious! Service was exceptional! Restaurant was clean. Prices were very affordable. My only complaint is that it was too bright in the restaurant. They have lights hanging over each table and really bright lights in the ceiling. Not really a big deal but it’s something that I and my family noticed.

When I say this is my second time being here and I’ve had the same experience as my first. Amazing customer service from manager, Michelle and also the waiters who took time out to review over the menu and walk me through it. Bringing me out the food in such a timely fashion, and ensuring that I was satisfied with every bit. When I first came here, I felt so welcome. There is a lot of talk about southern hospitality and it’s sometimes on a first time basis. This was not my experience here at this restaurant. It feels very family orientated very welcoming and full of love and good food 10 out of 10 recommend

The best crispy chicken cob salad in the NW side of Houston right now! Loved the Huckleberry Lemonade. Generous portion. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Shout out to Kristopher P, our server.
