A Hearty Hug in Every Bite — and Service with a Smile
Stopped by the Black Bear Diner in Signal Hill and left with a full belly and an even fuller heart. Thelma was an absolute gem — attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming.
The food? Classic comfort done right. Generous portions that satisfy without skimping on flavor. Whether you’re craving a stack of fluffy pancakes or a savory skillet, this place delivers the goods — literally and figuratively.
Big thanks to Thelma and her crew for making our visit feel like a warm Sunday morning at grandma’s table. We’ll definitely be back for more!
Thanks again bud!
Give that dude a raise. He’s awesome
I cleaned the plate!!!
I always order Hash brown when I visit Black Bear, but the one here was not the best I have. It should be crispy, but tough like hardboard, bet it was old, not fresh at all.
The waitress took all the orders without taking notes, but misremembered the type of the sausage I ordered, and took long while to serve the right ones.
