My sister picked me up from the airport and we needed somewhere to go to get some food. She said she had been to a black Bear diner in Utah and it was really good so we came in and we got a sandwich for service. The first time was OK, but the gentleman that served us had really tight pants on and thought he was all that in a box of rocks The food was so good. My sister and I decided to go back on Friday. We’re Ingrid helped us our food was so delicious. We even got dessert to go. I would definitely recommend this location. You do get large portions but the service is good. The food is good. Definitely worth the way the cornbread muffins absolutely delicious. I love that they have real butter and you get it and little pads so that you don’t have to worry about somebody Already putting their fork in something or having germs 10 out of 10 totally recommend this location will definitely be going back the Santa Maria tri-tip tri-tip dip the onion rings, the salad and mashed potatoes with country gravy the country fried steak, the white cheddar mac & cheese the Grammy grits 10 out of 10 would totally recommend. I don’t know what we’re gonna get next time oh and don’t forget the pot roast melt sandwich That was really delicious as well. They have a lot of cute little merchandise that you can buy. We did get a berry cobbler and some bread pudding. I would recommend both of those and give you the great food and great service.

Went for breakfast at 11:30 on 1/4/26.Other than the pancakes being delicious, not so good of a dining experience. We sat at a table that seats 4. When female server was dropping our food off, instead of taking 2 more steps to get to the end of table and find out who ordered what, she just reached in between 2 of us, and randomly, literally, started tossing plates down, causing syrup to spill all over one. One plate had food that was already partially cold. I ordered my egg over easy and it came out completely cooked. Waited forever for server to come back to let him know. By the time he came back to check on us we were finished eating. Once our food was dropped off, they never bothered coming back to check if we needed refills on drinks or anything else. On top of this, the bathroom was filthy! I’ll drive the extra miles to the Chino location next time! Always excellent service and very clean!

Had an excellent breakfast experience at Black Bear Diner in Rancho Cucamonga! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — especially the omelet with avocado and hash browns. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, and the service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and had that classic diner feel. Definitely a great spot for a hearty meal and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The only thing good about this place was the waiter who was new and still in training but was incredibly helpful and really amazing.
My girlfriend had the tricep steak which she said she liked. I had a bacon Blue Burger and I honestly felt like I could have had a better burger if I went to McDonald’s and paid $2 for a plain hamburger. It was the most disappointing hamburger I’ve had in some time. Absolutely would not recommend this location or at the very least not the hamburgers from this location at all

We had such a great experience! Courtney, our waitress, was absolutely amazing, so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. She made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down.
The food was also delicious. We tried The Volcano and The Original Scrambowl, and both were so good! Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!
We’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Courtney, for the great service!

I went to Black Bear Diner for dinner yesterday, and had a great experience! Jesse was my waiter and he was very kind and really calm, despite being the only waiter serving diners throughout the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great as well! It’s been a while since I’ve eaten there in person, versus doing pickup orders, and after yesterday I will definitely be dining in again soon!

Black Bear Diner in Rancho Cucamonga offers a cozy, cabin-like atmosphere with generous portions of homestyle cooking. Their breakfast options, like the “Bear’s Choice” with pancakes or French toast, and the “BIGFOOT Chicken Fried Steak” are often highlighted as delicious and satisfying. While wait times can sometimes be long, the friendly service and family-friendly environment make it a popular choice for a hearty meal.

Great place to have Thanksgiving dinner! My daughter and I could not find anything open and I thought maybe Black Bear is open. I called and the young Latino man answered, he could have not have been more welcoming and courteous. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and sat at the first table on the left. Our waitress was fabulous, friendly with a great sense of humor. We had the Thanksgiving dinner, it was perfect, she had the turkey,I had the prime rib. I can not thank you all enough for saving the day, being open on Thanksgiving. All of the staff had great attitudes, friendly, courteous.

The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and our waitress was both friendly and attentive. The food is comforting and homey, with generous portions—next time, we’ll definitely share a dish! They also have delicious desserts and pastries available at the front counter. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I look forward to returning!

It has been disappointing to see that a quality of the food at this restaurant has been decreasing little-by-little. This used to be one of my favorite American breakfast. Restaurant I was there at these past week. And what a disappointment food was overcooked, even the pancakes were burnt and not only that, but cold when he was served or finally taken to my table, I addressed it to the waitress. And they warmed up my food in the microwave. Definitely. The food worse, not tasty steak was dry overcooked. Potatoes were aubercooked and chewy. Not crispy like if there were cooked and old. Unfortunately for me, it is a disappointing to see. That’s such a great restaurant. It has decreased the quality off their food. I took my daughter-in-law because she hadn’t never been there. I had to spoke highly about the place and to realize that whatever memories I had from the plays before it’s not there anymore.
