The biscuits are the size of softballs! Very tasty. Server was very friendly and mostly attentive but forgot a couple things. The sausage patties were delicious but very fennel-forward – I will try the links next time. Gravy was pretty good but didn’t taste homemade.

Our first time at the Pueblo restaurant. Went this evening for dessert and coffee. We were seated and served quickly. Our waitress Michelle was very friendly and attentive. The dessert we ordered was delicious! We will definitely return soon to try other menu items.
5 Stars!

So you know what they say, try the second time and see if the goodness, quality and service stick. No no it did not.
I went by myself yesterday for my birthday breakfast. 9:30 in the morning, nobody was in there, and yet I had to go find a server. Then I waited 30 minutes for an omelet, bacon, toast and potato. Again I had to ask where was my food. When I received my plate my cheese omelette with crisper bacon was an omelette with no cheese and somewhat raw bacon. I kept watching the cook and the server laughing while exchanging my plate, I didn’t like that at all. So I took my plate back up gave it to them told them to enjoy my birthday breakfast, if they dare to eat it. I asked him if they spit in it. I haven’t asked that question in I don’t know how long, but good God. Do they dare to eat it. LOL? No no I don’t think so.

You may want to look into adulting. All kids. You seriously may want to look at hiring adults. They actually have discipline and they will work when not monitored. I know a few young people like this as well. Obviously none are employed with you. We came there last week again trying to get the birthday breakfast and you had an hour wait, many empty tables and a half full parking lot. It took him 15 minutes to even realize we were standing there waiting to put a name on the book. We turned around and left. So I guess you could say this was strike two. That’s a problem. That’s management! Let me know if you need assistance finding a good manager. But unfortunately you have to pay him well.
Your staff of 3, when was sitting down talking to a regular, but they forgot about all the rest of us. I believe there were three or four tables total. A giant Rush LOL. I was the only one that has come in for over 15 minutes. And that’s about how long it took me to get my Pepsi. My server I grabbed as he was walking out and he turned around and started serving.

I don’t know what to tell you. So I’ve been there three times. First time was excellent, but two and three have really sucked.

So hit and miss…… Take your chances… But it’s a lot of money…. How hard is it to put cheese on an omelette? Hmmm …

This is a franchise location. Most notably is service. The entire wait staff are young and inexperienced. We decided to drink water rather than spend $8 on beverages with no refills.

The food here is five star. We tried the Friday fish fry. It was pretty sad,not the same fish as the fish n chip dinner which was awesome, and all you can eat means the fish refill is one piece at a time. Pollack is ok, but not fond of the coating. The chicken fried steak is pretty good.

That ciabata roll was so awesome and made fresh in house. Probably not gonna order anything with syrup, because they use fake syrup. If t do, I will bring real maple syrup with me.

We will keep coming back, hoping it will get better.

We stopped in for the first time the day before yesterday. I’d like to say everyone was super friendly. We stopped in right before the rush so it was nice we didn’t have to wait long. We ordered pancakes, fish n chips, and the tomato eggs benedict. The problem was just with the food. The batter on the fish wasn’t cooked all the way and the fish was rubbery which is weird. They brought the wrong eggs benedict, we sent it back and looked like the just lifted the eggs up and added avocado under them, still wrong. No bacon, no grilled tomato, I took it back this time with the menu to show the waitresses what we were talking about. Also the hollandaise sauce was broken all three times. I thought since we hadn’t been in and they’ve been open for about 6 months the food kinks would have been worked out. The only savior was the kind staff the manager did comp the fish and the eggs bene but definitely disappointed. I left hungry since I couldn’t eat the fish and picked up Taco Bell.I will not be back.

Good experience Visited for a brunch, and had the patty melt with onion rings, and my guest had the massive meat omelet with country potatoes and a side of biscuits and gravy. Patty melt was good, nice and crisp on the outside and medium on the patty. Was a little disappointed in only having 5 Onion rings, but they were perfectly done also. The omelet and potatoes were excellent, and the biscuits looked and tasted homemade, however, the gravy was not. Would have probably given a 5 if the gravy was as good as everything else. All said and done, a really good meal.

Second time trying this location. We’ve been to Black Bear in other places and it is good diner food. This location is new so the first time we chalked up the long wait to working out the kinks. This time they had plenty of staff and the restaurant was not busy. However, we still ended up waiting well over an hour for two meals. It seemed they were having issues with the servers and kitchen staff communicating. First time we had children with us and the server was very accommodating and brought their food out early. Second time we almost left before our food came out. They seemed to be actively interviewing when we were there, so hopefully they can get the training done quickly and service can improve. I think we will wait a while before we try again.

Although this diner is new to Pueblo. The level of unprofessionalism our family witnessed today was crazy! So while there was tons of plates sitting to get picked up, who I’m guessing was the serving manager, screams at the top of her lungs about moving the food out to the floor. Mind you the food was full of ready plates from left to right. THEN that’s not even the worst part the people in the back then start barking at the servers! I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to work there. Mediocre food that needed salt, mixed up my orders. The waiters and waitresses there looked so confused.I believe you need a new manager so that they can address how to work as a team.Everyone there seriously looked so confused! We were really excited about this place. But this is my honest review. Please be nice to your employees, especially in front of customers. That was seriously so unprofessional

Had an awesome meal at the new Black Bear Diner in Pueblo, CO. Our server Audra was amazing, super friendly, fast, and on top of everything. The food was delicious and the portions were huge, seriously come hungry. The place has a great vibe too, clean and cozy with that classic diner feel. Definitely coming back soon. Thanks Audra for the great service.

If I couldn’t rate this place I wouldn’t even give it one star. We waited over an hour just for our food alone, once received the biscuit was hard as a rock, the pancakes were so sloppy made. Sausage was burnt, chicken fried steak was so hard I could barely even cut it. We didn’t even end up eating we were so upset and left. Sadly Horrible experience.
