In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. My sister & I had breakfast here today. It was great! Our server was very friendly & attentive. The food was very good, too! Will be back of course. I had to pick up my 6 year old a black teddy bear & she got it after school. She’s the happiest kid ever & said the bear is the softest teddy in the whole world

I really liked this place! I don’t think I can say enough good things about this place. Here’s why: Service the service was outstanding, highly attentive, friendly always there when we needed but not intrusive. The food was outstanding the presentation. It was hot and tasty. There was generous portions. The biscuits were simply outstanding. I had an omelette that was perfect. Fluffy not greasy. I was blown away by the quality of the food at the Black Bear diner. The decor was pretty cool. I hadn’t seen a bear themed restaurant so it was very nice. The place was really clean the doors the glass the bathroom everything. It was really a very well kept restaurant. I was very impressed. I highly recommend the black bear diner to anyone that visits the little rock the North Little Rock area.

I got the make your own breakfast and it was great! I got eggs, spicy sausage patties, and pancakes. We also ordered a brownie sundae and black berry cobbler. The atmosphere was quiet and nice. Our waitress was very kind. I will be back.

Have not been here in a while but today as the fall weather comes sneaking in, I’m hungry! And you better be hungry if you go to the Black Bear Diner in North Little Rock. I had the Volcano which was two thick and crispy bacon slices, two oversized sausage links, three scrumptious, fluffy pancakes(small, medium, and large stacked), 2 over medium jumbo eggs, sugar free syrup, lots of real butter and an order of hash browns cooked to crispy perfection. Good golly, I gave it my best shot! My friend had eggs, sausage, with biscuits and gravy. Wow! Service was great and food correctly cooked to order made this a wonderful fall weekend meal. How was your day?

Fantastic chicken fried steak. One of the best I’ve ever had, wasn’t dry, wasn’t mostly breading was perfectly balanced between a Krispy crust and well seasoned and tender meat. Their eggs were fluffy and phenomenal, their sweet potato fries are something you can enjoy anytime of day and their gravy was fresh. The staff treated our order with love I highly recommend, 10 out of 10 must be experienced if you have family flying in from out of town. The Bears choice breakfast and the Bigfoot breakfast are what we had.

Went to Black Bear Diner after church today and let me just say — even though it was completely packed (we definitely should’ve come earlier ), they handled it like pros!!
Our food came out in a timely manner, everything was hot and fresh, and the service? Top tier!!
Our server April was amazing! Super attentive, kept our drinks refilled without us even asking, and was juggling a busy section like it was nothing. April was moving through that restaurant so fast Up and down, everywhere at once,bless her heart!
It was just an all-around great experience. Good food, great service, smooth energy even with a full house.

If possible, I would have assigned a zero rating. Our interaction with the waitress was limited to when she took our order, as she was otherwise engaged in taking orders from other tables throughout the restaurant, reflecting a lack of organizational structure. We experienced an excessively long wait of over an hour for our food, which was disappointing in terms of quality, with dishes being undercooked and lacking flavor. Our orders included a breakfast plate with over easy eggs, sausage, and french toast, as well as a kids’ plate with a small pancake, but none of these items met our expectations.
Furthermore, the side of fruit we ordered consisted of a few slices (3) of banana.
Regrettably, our experience at this establishment was extremely disappointing and not worth our time, especially as we had a few hours in Arkansas.
