Black Bear Diner – Breakfast Served All Day!

The food was delicious every single time. Breakfast portions were generous, freshly prepared, and full of flavor, while the dinner options were hearty and perfectly cooked. You can really tell that the diner takes pride in what they serve.
Whether you’re starting your day or looking for a comforting meal in the evening, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
The highly recommended hash browns are extremely heard today, one of our party tasted the stale oil.
The fried chicken comes with generous portions but the batter is too thick.
You either love their cinnamon roll French toast or it’s too “cinnamon” for you, some bites feeling overwhelmingly bitter.
But the bread pudding French toast is very moist, juicy and sweet, very pleasant for all sweet teeth.
Their signature vanilla cream cold brew latte is on the light side, not satisfying, but the Milk shake (cookies and cream) is pretty good and with generous portion.
The highlight of all our meals is the coconut cream pie which is delicious and of rich flavor and creamy texture.
For brunch, I’d recommend getting the Bigfoot chicken fried steak & eggs (breakfast menu). It comes with additional sides. Note that there’s a dinner version of this that doesn’t have the eggs (and the sides are different). Despite the name, this is a beef steak that’s been deep fried in batter (like fried chicken). If you’re really hungry, choose the pancakes as one of the sides. The gravy is poured over the steak, but you can ask to have it on the side.
Note that the restaurant is known for its big servings while keeping the price reasonable, so it’s great value for money.
Usually come for breakfast here – but needed some quick dinner this time… and what do ya know? They don’t disappoint ✨

Although they were short staffed.. service was still great! Food is always good! And sometimes they have some goodies that you can take for souvenirs!
The host was just okay, she could’ve been more welcoming and friendly, especially since this was our first time there, but I digress.
We were seated promptly and Elva came very soon after, introduced herself and took our drink orders. She turned the experience around quickly. She was personable, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu offerings. We bombarded her with questions and she took it all in stride with great patience. Offering excellent suggestions based on the information we gave her about our preferences.
My husband ordered the New York Steak and Eggs (fruit/wheat toast) and I ordered the Original Scrambowl (homemade biscuit/sausage gravy on the side) with all bacon. They cook everything fresh to order and it was definitely worth waiting for.
My husband’s steak was prepared just the way he likes and it included three eggs which was music to his “protein loving” ears. My food was equally as delightful. I enjoyed the spiciness and ooey gooey goodness of the cheese in the Scrambowl. The only thing I’d modify next time is add avocado and maybe try it with extra crispy hash browns for a different texture experience instead of the country red potatoes. We also ordered fresh orange juice which was good. Overall, I thought we received great value for our money. The portions of everything were pretty large to huge.
Elva came to check on us frequently and was very attentive. The menu has plenty of offerings and they serve breakfast all day – which if you like breakfast for dinner, like me – then why not?!?
Come and check this place out. There’s plenty of seating options and they turn the tables quickly, so I can’t imagine there’s many times were customers wait long to dine. They also have outdoor seating options for your dining pleasure. Be sure to ask for Elva, take care of her and tell her “hello” from us.
Until next time and you’re welcome! ✌
