We went in Friday morning for breakfast, it was so crowded and noisy. The service was slow. When we received the food it wasn’t cold but it wasn’t warm either. It took a while to get our ticket as well. The pancakes were delicious, best pancakes I’ve ever had to be honest.

This is an awesome place to eat. Staff are very attentive and make you feel right at home. The food is delicious. Their eggs benedict are my favorite.

The servers at Hanford Black Bear are outstanding! We were never left wanting for anything. The club sandwich was good with just the right amount of bacon for me. I asked for extra krispy and the chef delivered! Hubby had chicken fried steak, the smaller portion, which was still very large. He said the mashed potatoes & gravy were very good. Will definitely return when in the area!

Undoubtably my favorite place locally. The vibe of this restaurant is everything I look for to include some amazing classic rock hits playing with a sports game on a TV. You know its good becuase the older crowd is usually the main customers. If you’re looking for some good ‘ol american style food at a place that understands quality, service and value, this is your spot

I love Black Bear. I go on my birthday every year. Their portions are the best out of all diners. Staff is also always friendly. I will return many times again.

We went to the blackbear diner. They were promoting Thanksgiving dinner. My brown gravy smells like something dead. I couldn’t figure it out at first. I was like something dead on my plate. It smelled like death. I didn’t eat it and I sent it back the whole plate. I’ve done lost my appetite.
We just did a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for Christmas closes blackbear diner. Oh water.
As a restaurant you need to make for sure that you’re putting out food better than somebody can cook at home because if it’s mediocre food that I can cook at home then shame on you

I went to this location after a long & stressful day at work in the operating room . A lady is working there, I believe her name was Elvia!
After an exhausting day, when you’re craving food more than anything else, having a sweet lady explaining the menu to you with excellent suggestions and service, along with an infectious smile, was precisely what I needed!
Please give her a raise; she deserves it!
I’ll be going there again for sure. The food and service were exceptional

We are here visiting my niece and her family. We were in the mood for comfort food. We definitely found it. The food was fantastic and Alex our server topnotch. We ordered a piece of banana cream pie to go. We received a small full pie that was enough for two. Honestly it was the best banana cream pie either of us has ever eaten. If your near any of their locations you have to stop in. Trust me.

One thing I can say about Black Bear Diner is you never leave there hungry. Their servings are large and there’s always enough for me to have at least one or two meals from the leftovers I take home. So even though their prices are high, it’s worth it for me. I did pay $21 and something for a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans the other day, but I also got a little side salad and a cornbread biscuit for that price and it was so much food that it was heavy for me to carry. The woman who waited on me was just delightful. She was an older lady with a beautiful smile, and she had really pretty glasses on. It was really crowded in there as it always is, and there were people waiting and grumbling a little, but she didn’t ignore them like the others servers we’re doing, she kept looking up and smiling at them and saying “we’ll be right with you. It’s gonna be worth it!” What a great employee!

The green beans and the mashed potatoes were great, I love their mashed potatoes, they have little pieces of the peelings and bacon and butter in them and they are so yummy! The steak and mashed potatoes took up the entire plastic container, this is the green beans and the salad and the biscuit on the side. The steak and potatoes were covered with gravy unlike some restaurants which only put a little dollop of gravy right on top of the steak. The green beans were really tasty made with bacon and I think some onions. Since I’m being honest about all the great stuff, I do have to say that the gravy is pretty tasteless. It definitely needed salt and pepper and a little garlic salt and a little onion salt in my opinion, but I ended up enjoying THREE MEALS from this lunch I bought, making that a definite bargain in my opinion. There is definitely a reason why this place is always packed. It’s good food and a lot of it and the servers are friendly and helpful. Kudos to Black Bear Diner!!!

Food was great, wait time wasn’t too bad. Dining in was fun, it’s been awhile. Highly recommend the blackberry stuffed french toast! Dessert looked delicious, but with the stuffed french toast no room. They have a glorious gift shop like setup as well.
