We just did a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for Christmas closes blackbear diner. Oh water.
As a restaurant you need to make for sure that you’re putting out food better than somebody can cook at home because if it’s mediocre food that I can cook at home then shame on you
After an exhausting day, when you’re craving food more than anything else, having a sweet lady explaining the menu to you with excellent suggestions and service, along with an infectious smile, was precisely what I needed!
Please give her a raise; she deserves it!
I’ll be going there again for sure. The food and service were exceptional
The green beans and the mashed potatoes were great, I love their mashed potatoes, they have little pieces of the peelings and bacon and butter in them and they are so yummy! The steak and mashed potatoes took up the entire plastic container, this is the green beans and the salad and the biscuit on the side. The steak and potatoes were covered with gravy unlike some restaurants which only put a little dollop of gravy right on top of the steak. The green beans were really tasty made with bacon and I think some onions. Since I’m being honest about all the great stuff, I do have to say that the gravy is pretty tasteless. It definitely needed salt and pepper and a little garlic salt and a little onion salt in my opinion, but I ended up enjoying THREE MEALS from this lunch I bought, making that a definite bargain in my opinion. There is definitely a reason why this place is always packed. It’s good food and a lot of it and the servers are friendly and helpful. Kudos to Black Bear Diner!!!
