We tend to be picky breakfast eaters and I loved the breakfast here. The waiter was kind enough to allow us to sit by the fireplace as it was cold. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and did not include fake processed ingredients. Loved the cottage and black bear feel. I was surprised it was not busier. There was only one waiter working but he was hustling. Too many more customers would have made it difficult I am sure. I would most definitely eat here again.

We had a bit of a wait for our table, and food, but it was fine. The servers were very communicative, and there was plenty of seating for the wait. Our server was friendly, with some good recommendations on the menu. The food was great.
The only problem with our meal is that the waitress first brought my friend a dirty mug with her coffee. My friend asked her if the mug was just stained, or if it was dirty. My friend was able to wipe the slime off of the inside of the mug. Thankfully, despite assurances that the mug was clean, but stained, the waitress did bring a fresh, clean mug. This is a lovely place, and I do strongly recommend it!

I ate breakfast at this restaurant today , and it was Amazing!! I highly recommend the delicious bear paw shaped blackberry stuffed French toast. It’s incredible! The bacon and eggs taste fresh and perfectly cooked to order. The coffee is perfect as well. Our server was friendly, and did a fabulous job serving us and the rest of her customers! I recommend you try this restaurant and find your favorite menu items too. * This restaurant also features beautiful bear carvings and decor. It’s great for hungry bears of all ages !

This is the second Black Bear I have been in. This is a new, beautiful location. We had been looking forward to their awesome fried chicken but after we ordered it we were told they were out. At checkout a manager said they ran out the night before. Hmmm. He tried to make it right with us. Waiter was attentive. They are new and have a ways to go but they will get there. We will definitely go back when in town. Recommend.

Meh… My expectations were higher then expected. I have one of these near my home, but haven’t had a chance to try it. I had dinner here and ordered the grilled salmon. I try to eat pretty healthy when I travel. The 3 stars represents the lack of service. I waited over 5 mins for someone to get me to a table even though they noticed me and kept acknowledging that they would be there in a minute. The restaurant was not busy and no one else was waiting to be seated. I waited over 20 – 25 minutes for my order to come to the table. The food was fair. The fish was good, but the beans came from a can and there was too much gravy on the potato’s. The mashed potato’s were real and very good.

The server was really nice. It took an unusually long time to get my order, for a pretty empty space. The food was received as if the cook just stopped caring. The order was riddled with unusable food. The really burnt sausages complemented the pudding like centered pancakes, and the sandy textured grits, which tasted as such. I would have walked out, but my insulin kicked in and I suffered through. The server was kind and offered to have it remade, but alas, being it was made that way originally, I could only imagine what extra ingredients might find their way in. So I paid and left. Hopefully I don’t get sick…

Great place! Had the Parmesan Sourdough Cheeseburger with fries & the Vegetarian Omelet with country potatoes. Both were excellent! Great flavors! Biggest biscuit on the planet! Even the “little chunkies” side of ranch dressing was awesome! The little chunkies are onion and bacon!
