Yesterday, January 28th, I went to Black Angus Brentwood with some friends and received excellent service from everyone, including the waitress! She was very friendly, polite, and proactive! It was my birthday and I wanted to share this here. All the staff sang “Happy Birthday to You” for me and I was very, very happy! Thank you!! ✨ ❤️

We went for grandsons bday and both my husband and I ordered steak combos. Well the twin lobster tails were over cooked and dry. Well done does not =dry. Although we enjoyed our margaritas and the bread ans salad. We were not happy with main dishes ..

Amanda was great. She elevated an average experience to an amazing experience. Her performance and personality was top notch. We really loved her. She did a great job at every step of the way from greeting us to taking our order to checking in on us and bringing us our bill. We would go there again just for her because she made it a very lovely experience.

Approximately four times a year my son and I plus a friend meet up for a late afternoon/early dinner meal at this location. In the past, we have always came away with a positive experience; however, this evening (01/20/26) is a different story. From the time the three of us were seated (approx. 4pm) until we left was almost two and a half hours. The service was extremely slow and almost at times painful. When our waiter first came to our table he was a bit quiet but polite. We got our water and drinks in a very reasonable about of time in addition to our order being taken fairly quickly but after that the service went off the rails/tracks so to speak. When our appetizer plate came we had not yet been served the customary brown bread so we had to ask for that. Without going into a long detailed review the service was extremely slow and our food was not served at the same time. We had to ask for two sides that had been forgotten about plus it took three times asking for additional napkins before we finally got those. My friend asked for a simple refill on water which never happened. We were never asked by the waiter if we needed anything or how the food was, etc as we are accustomed to from previous visits. At one point, someone did come by our table to check on things (maybe the manager but not for sure); however, we never saw her again. At point the waiter did bring over a $15 gift card and put in our table but said nothing. We had to tell him what our two dessert choices were as he never asked. We have no complaints about the food whatsoever. That was on point as it has always been. But due to the extremely slow and somewhat un-caring service I have to give this visit a low rating. We appreciate the gift card plus we were given an additional shrimp cocktail free of charge but the service certainly was not what it normally has been in the past.

Order through their Badass burgers on doordash but a little surprised by this.
Placed order through doordash at 8:12 pm. Ran an errand, got the notice it should be ready about halfway through running my errand and arrived at 8:45 to pick it up. They couldn’t find it initially, printed the ticket and told me to come back 15 minutes later. Came back, waited another almost 10 minutes for someone else to come out saying they were still working on it. Witnessed people waiting by the host stand for longer than I was with hardly anyone at the bar or in dining. Came last year and dined in and it was a good experience, granted it was a weekend day so maybe different there. Seems things changed massively, at the time of writing this, it’s been over 30 minutes since I first spoke with them and STILL waiting on the food I ordered over an hour ago. Great way to end a long day!
I will add to this the young lady who was interacting was me was the one and only positive. She did seem to be running from host stand to the kitchen and was the only one I witnessed handling food pick ups. It was more taken aback by how many were passing by the host stand, no have you been helped, no hello, nothing including what seemed to be a manager at the bar handling the till there who was in plain view of the host stand, before she had come out again. She did inform me it was a newer system when I asked, did offer me something to make up for it which I declined, I felt it wasn’t really her fault but appreciated her trying to make it right. This review is to not reflect on her at all, as she was trying to handle everything customer related seemingly by herself. This is more a reflection of the system quality currently being used and how things are ran overall, as possibly the kitchen is backed up or short staffed.

It was a Sunday and they had the most unexperienced cooks and servers working. It was hard to find help when we needed something. Only one of the three steaks was cooked right. The one my dad received, was so overcooked that he couldn’t chew it. We actually ask them to correct this one, which ended up turning out great, but it was eaten the next day because it took so long to get back to us he had packed it up to go. He had ate a potato and mushy green beans for dinner that day, they were out of Asparagus. Our bill was about $280. Our server was wonderful, when she was able to get to us, they also appeared to be short staffed. Definitely not a great experience. Should have stayed in Tracy and waited an hour to be seated at Texas Road house

Steaks are always wonderful. I had the steak and grains salad. The salad seemed to not have any dressing on it. About halfway through I finally asked for a side of dressing. Could have been that I was supposed to mix the the rice in it, which I didn’t want to do. My son really enjoyed his also, he had a wonderful mac n cheese along with steak. Will definitely be back.

WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR FOR OUR FOOD AND THEY WERENT PACKED!! Our food was cold. My son ordered steak and lobster both cold. He ordered me and his wife salads as his sides they were served with his dinner over an hour later. My grandson had the kids sliders no cheese he can’t have cheese. There was cheese on there. She just took them back and peeled the cheese off because some was left on there. I could have done that. My mom’s fries cold. It took my sister over twenty minutes to get the desserts that came with their meal. The waitress was terrible. We asked to speak to the manager all she said was I understand. My sister comes from Stockton to eat here because they don’t have a Black Angus. Well until you guys get your staff trained and it’s time to remodel to keep up with th Streets new look. We won’t be back and we eat there quite often.

The place seemed nice, we had our Christmas party there, too bad we couldn’t get a bigger table and were kind of crammed by the doors. For what we spent there, I feel we could’ve been taken care of a little better, but overall we had a good time. Just a little more privacy would be appreciated, especially since the place wasn’t packed, but the food was pretty good.
