I’ve been here twice and ordered the burger both times. Very teeny tiny patty and it’s cold, they don’t melt the cheese, you barely get any fries. Or they didn’t melt MY cheese anyway and they didn’t give ME any fries. Will not return a third time sorry y’all.
Service is nice though everyone behind the counter is cool and they bring your food out to you. The food is just meh though. Like Wendys down the street is kind of mogging

This place is an icon and an OG part of Little Rock food culture. The cook has been there for 38 years! As for the food, you won’t find a steak and baked potato for the taste and price you get at Black Angus. You can smell the smoke coming off the grill when you pull up outside

If I could give this place more stars, I would in a heartbeat. Everything ordered was cooked to perfection. The cake? Oh my heavens, absolutely delicious. The food didn’t settle in mine or my husbands stomach in a heavy way. Home cooked, seasoned wonderfully. Seriously, I can’t wait to go back. Should’ve taken photos, but will list everything ordered. Came out right under $60 which is super fairly priced for everything ordered!
Things ordered: smothered steak meal with green beans and macaroni and cheese. Double angus burger with sautéed onions. Two chili cheese dogs with onion rings. Chocolate vanilla boom cake and lemon cake.

None of the meals come with a drink, and drinks start at 2 dollars. The lowest cost of meals is around 9 bucks.
So automatically you’re paying 11 dollars plus tax for an average burger, some cringle cut fries with no salt, and a drink. The food here is no better than what you can cook at home, and I guess that’s the appeal. It’s very dated. It’s like a diner, more than say a steak restaurant.
The location is horrible, right on the corner of a busy intersection. Good luck getting in or out of the parking lot during any rush hour. Drive through takes forever, and the parking is an absolute pain. The full menu isn’t even posted on the drive through menu.
The staff however is always very friendly and sweet.
Overall I’d rate this place a solid 4/10. Not super impressed, I’ve been back multiple times trying different items and I’m always left feeling like I just ate from a hospital cafeteria.

Went through the drive through for lunch. We got the black angus burger and the mushroom swiss burgers and onion rings. The onion rings were fresh, crispy, and great. Burgers were a little bit of a let down. The beef had a pretty good flavor but overall the burgers were a bit lacking. Next time we’ll eat in and try some more items from the menu, but maybe not the burgers.

Good steak and comfort meals. Regular burger was tiny. Food was way better than any of the chain restaurants near UAMS. Don’t expect much in the way of atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring food to your table.

This place was very close to where we were staying for the night so we decided to give it a try. They were not busy so there was no wait time. When we approached the counter to order the girl taking our order literally just stood there and stared at us. No hi, how you doing, can I help you, nothing. Just stood there with a blank look on her face. So we just started telling her what we wanted and she looked as about enthusiastic as someone scheduling a root canal as she took our order. I ordered the hickory smoke burger with fries and my wife picked the chicken strip dinner with fries and a salad. The wait time to get our food wasn’t a really long time but was a little longer than I thought it would take to make one burger and some chicken strips and a small salad but there was also orders going out through drive thru so I’m sure that played a part. When the food arrived I was surprised at how small the burger was and how thin the patty was. But it had a good flavor. My wife’s chicken was cooked nicely and was moist but both of us agreed that the fries had been cooked in old grease or something and neither of us could eat them. She said the ranch for her salad also had an odd taste like it had gotten hot at one time or another. The whole time we were there we watched the girl behind the counter and decided that she just didn’t like being at work because her attitude was the same towards everyone that came in. Overall not a horrible experience but if we’re ever through town again we probably won’t stop here.
