We were headed to a chain restaurant down the street which looked too crowded, so, we drove past it. We went just a bit further and saw BKK and thought “we like Thai, let’s give this place a try”. Friendly greeting, nice decor, and neat and clean. Great start.
We had the spicy eggplant with tofu, spring rolls and calamari. We loved all of it. The eggplant was cooked just right with the correct texture. We asked for level 5 in spiciness, but next time I’ll try an 8 or so. I like heat that burns, lol, but my 90 year old mother wanted medium heat. Level 5 had just a nice little kick. The flavor was great with the other veggies and tofu. The egg rolls were tasty, crispy and not oily at all. Everything here seemed fresh and healthy. When you add in it all tasted great, definitely means I’ll be back to try more of the menu! Support the locals and give this place a try!

Been coming here for years, amazing Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Tom Kha, Thai Teas… great service every time whether dine in or take out.
Get the fire pot (it’s better dine in) for a nice soup experience sharing with a friend or partner.
Yes.. maybe just a touch pricey, but you are receiving homemade food that you can tell is made with care and appreciation for the customer. Also… it’s not much more than comparable Thai spots. Support small, locally owned, family business!

The server took really good care and even had the courtesy to check if we liked the meal or not (while we were having the meal).

Anyone who enjoys true thai cuisine BKK Thai is the only place to be. I’ve been coming here for 6 years. Kelly the owner is an amazing person, waitress, Chef! Every time I come here and she always knows exactly what I want. I order the Panang Curry with chicken, spice level 10. Anyone who can create a curry with spice level 10 and all you taste are the well rounded flavors bursting through in this dish. I’ve eaten Thai all over the country and nothing compares, to BKK Thai. I’ve never had a more consistent dining experience. The photo of the gorgeous cat is my boy Tiger.

Delicious!!! My friend and I with our toddlers came in for dinner around 7pm on Sunday night. It was empty and we were the only ones there. Our service was quick, food was great quality, and the owner was attentive and super friendly. Our kids got cute kid plates which was a nice touch.

Great service. Good selection. Many vegetarian options are available, and they can further customize it to your need. And importantly, when you ask for it, no fish or oyster sauce smelling vegetarian dishes, unlike some thai restaurants, unfortunately, serve. Highly recommended for people preferring vegetarian food. I feel portions are smaller now.

We went to this place for dinner after a tiring day at Lego land. My wife is not a big fan of Thai cuisine after a very poor experience, a couple of years back. I am a big fan of Thai cuisine so was hoping that this experience will help change her perception so we can try Thai cuisine more frequently. And, for sure when my wife walked out after dinner she was super pleased. We got Pad Thai noodles, Spicy fried rice and spring roles and loved all of them. Taste was very authentic and reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok. Gladly recommend this place.

This is a pretty delicious Thai food restaurant in Carlsbad area. We ordered Thai green curry and Pad Thai noodles with tofu with a spice 6. The food was very tasty with a good spice. Ambience is great, hospitality is nice. Only one complaint- The food quantity is not much compared to the price they charge.
All in all, highly recommend this place!
