Was my first time visiting a BK. Overall not a bad place to grab a chili dog! The server there was nice and the food is what I expected. I can definitely see my self going back for hot dog . Or maybe trying something else on their menu!

We make the drive to Peru from Marion about every other week or so because of the Spanish nacho cheese dogs, can’t get them here. The place is much busier since the west side location was closed and sold. The management needs to put on an extra car hop during really busy times. We’ve never had a bad meal there and look forward to our trips. It does seem that the large root beer mugs have gotten smaller though.
3/25/25 I was very disappointed on my visit today. I ordered 2 Spanish Nacho Cheese Dogs and the buns were not soft at all. Very disappointed this time.

This is an old-time drive-in. All of the B&K’s I have been to have been consistently good. The food is what you would expect, good, quick, and not overly expensive. Most locations have a couple of tables but mostly you eat in your car. Parking is usually easy. Service has always been quick and accurate. Never had a problem at any of them.

Not a great place to go to. B & K Rootbeer in Peru has changed a lot, not for the good. I waited for 40 minutes while people after me got their food before me. A bite was eaten off of my hot dog, so I had to throw all of it away. They are rude and treat some people badly. STAY AWAY…

Food isn’t the best everything seems to be heated up and not fresh. If they mess up your order you have to return the messed up food which is fine unless you’ve made it clear home in bfe before you noticed so now you either run clear back or keep the food until you can make it back the next day. And have nothing for dinner that night..

I wanted to rate no stars because this afternoon our family went to this establishment for some hot dogs after losing our loved one. These girls behind the counter were replying angrily and quick. When talking to our mother who has had her whole world taken away she misheard/ thought an employee was talking to another employee, She had the audacity to Correct our mother in a confrontational manner. When asking for a manager a staff member follows up with yelling. They are rude, disrespectful, and completely out of line. We had sad family members with children and racked up a huge bill which obviously helped pay ALL their checks. We are appalled and won’t be coming back.

Great prices! Great food. The Spanish dogs were awesome and they used real cheese!! Mexi burgers (sloppy joes) we solid as well. Onion pedals where spectacular! I would recommend going there!

Absolutely terrible. A CHEESE dog should have liquid cheese not shredded cheese. Waited 45 mins for a hot dog that could be made at home in 5 mins. Food was cold. Very upset with this place. But highly recommend Mr. Weenies over this place!!

My mom and dad ate here the other night. While eating outside, they heard a terrible noise and realized that a man on a motorcycle had crashed. My mom went to help the man and asked employees of the B&K to call 911. They just stood around and did nothing. So, my dad called 911. After the whole ordeal was over, my mom had blood from the man on some of her clothing and forearms. She asked to use B&K’s restroom to clean it off. They would not let her clean off the blood after she had helped this poor man! What a horrible way to treat a Good Samaritan. Avoid this place!
