The food was fresh and hot and came out much faster than we thought it would. Hash browns cooked to perfection, everybody’s eggs cooked perfectly, pancakes tasted amazing and biscuits and gravy were something to write home about (I make my own from scratch and they are in high demand but I have to admit – these were better ).
After the meal, the Manager stopped over (always a good sign at a restaurant) and chatted for a bit – great friendly guy!
Thanks for a great breakfast and overall dining experience – will definitely come back next time we are in town.
We dropped in for breakfast this morning on probably one of the busiest winter weekends in the dells, Christmas week. Got a table for 5 with a hi chair. We had coffee and drinks in less than 2 minutes after sitting down. Our food came fast and was very fresh. The coffee was always topped off. We were even given coffee to go. The wait staff definitely has experience with the kiddos. Our table was cleaned up as soon as anything extra hit it so nothing was being grabbed or thrown by the little one.
Really the only thing I could say is the food could be stepped up some. It’s your standard diner food though and the cost matches what you get so no complaints here. We would definitely come back.
My husband and I shared a veggie omelette and a sweet roll. We ended up taking the roll to go because the omelet was so big then we were full .
One of the teenagers in our party got the strawberry pancakes with whipped cream. She said it was delicious. Overall, I would say that this is a good value for your money.
If you have a small party, the wait should be pretty manageable. If it’s just a couple, I don’t think you’ll have any problems getting sat down.
Everything seemed mostly homemade and to order. Pretty standard breakfast food; nothing was any better or worse than anything else. Nothing that blew me away either, but satisfied me for a decent price. The menu is an average size with a decent amount of options, without too much to handle.
The service was great. They are super nice and professional. They check on you and make sure you’re comfortable. The interior reminds me of a 90s diner including the tables and decor coming straight from there as well.
Anyone looking for a reliable breakfast with no-frills will probably say this is your best bet.
