Shrimp Po Boy ! Ive never had a better sandwich that first bite was a magical moment. I loved the atmosphere/layout inside what better place to experience Louisiana than this.

Old building but quaint. I live in the area and this is only my 2nd time going. Service was quick and food decent. I hate the plate special with frog legs. They were nice sized but could have had more seasoning. The broccoli and cheese was really cooked down and lacked flavor. The okra was good though. I’ll try them again for something different. I have had the Shrimp po boy. Something seems to have changed with the batter taste but still good. I’ll be back.

While in town for Mardi Gras, the husband said we had to stop here cause it was one of his favorite places when he use to live in LA. And it was pretty good! The food was great! Those shrimp poorboys are hard to beat. I really wanted to try the OTF too but was told I couldn’t get half of that and half shrimp; can only get two fried choices for a half and half. So sad! But I have zero complaints about all shrimp! And the fries were delish. My only criticism is that the place is horribly crooked. The floor is falling in both directions and the tables lean like the world is trying to swallow it. Maybe just level out the tables attached to the walls for starters. Or maybe people just come here when they’re wasted and it feels straight to them?! I’d come back either way!

Got the turkey poorbuy without gravy and was great. Got the 1/2 acadian shrimp poorboy, shrimp had off taste and shrimp we’re not deveined. Corn and seafood was just okay. Ordered 2 smalls drinks was charged for large. Place was busy so we got order to go and didn’t want to fuss over 50cents. Service was nice and fast!! Wont return but could see with their fast and friendly service why they stay busy. If I needed to eat there again for any reason I would stick to their basic menu turkey ham etc poorboy.

The brisket lunch plate was okay. The brisket was very tough and fatty. The mac and cheese was mushy. Good bread roll.
My friends aaid their poboys have gotten skimpier sitting this economic depression.

Awesome food and friendly service. Great fried shrimp. Definitely worth a visit. They only take cash or check though. They do have an ATM on site if you forget your checkbook.

Roundsteak rice and gravy with white beans and smothered cabbage. The roundsteak was tender and seasoned well but the rice was a bit clumpy. The white beans and smothered cabbage sides were very good. It really was a lot of food for a lunch portion so you really get your money’s worth.

BJ’s is my favorite PoBoy place ever. Their PoBoy’s are incredible. Their bread is the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And don’t miss their plate lunches! Incredible value, you never leave hungry. The staff are incredibly friendly.
