BJ’s Market & Cafe is a family-owned North Little Rock staple serving down-home Southern cooking and fresh market goods for over 50 years. We’re known for our relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and comfort food made the old-fashioned way — just like Momma (and Grandma) used to make it.
Our café serves hearty breakfasts and homestyle lunches, featuring favorites like made-from-scratch biscuits, omelets, chicken fried steak, catfish, smoked meats, classic sides, and homemade desserts including pies and cakes. On Saturdays, we offer a special breakfast menu that’s become a local favorite.
In our market, you’ll find Arkansas-grown produce, fresh fruits and vegetables, local eggs, honey, nuts, seasonal items, and thoughtful gifts.
Humble American diner fixing up breakfast plates, sandwiches & down-home entrees.

The food was good. It’s hard to mess up fried baloney and catfish. The service was on point. The young lady who served us was fantastic! The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The sign upon entering said seat yourself. I found a young man to clean a booth. It was 12 noon. I’m assuming it was their busiest time of day. The building is the typical older building with concrete floors. It’s not my favorite environment. All in all it was just OK. Nothing to write home about. The highlight of my visit was the same young man who cleared my booth made it a point to open the door for me as he noticed that I was trying to negotiate the restaurant on my mobility scooter.

Love BJs and have been to several in different states. We ate here with our family last night while we were in town and the food was subpar. The service was great, but my salmon was SO dry. My FIL also got salmon and he said the same. We also tried the monkey bread and man, that was disappointing. We got it to go, so we didn’t know until we got home. It was rock hard and burnt. It felt as if it has been reheated several times.
