If you’re in Lebanon and craving hot chicken, BJ’s Hot Chicken is definitely worth a stop.
Now, is it Hattie B’s or Prince’s in Nashville? No — but that’s a high bar to set. For Lebanon, BJ’s holds its own. The spice has a real kick without overpowering the flavor, and the chicken is consistently tender and juicy. You can tell they’re putting care into what they serve.
What really stands out, though, is how they treat their customers. Every time I’ve been in, the staff has been respectful, polite, and genuinely welcoming. It feels like they appreciate your business, and that goes a long way.

BJ’s is legit. The hot chicken tastes great. But, hot is more like a medium to mild. The fried pork belly is only available in cold weather months )fall and winter), and the pork is one of the best things at this restaurant.

We stopped in here a few weeks ago as we were traveling through Lebanon. It had good reviews so we thought we’d give it a try as well. Let me tell you- it will be our stopping place any time we are in Lebanon from here on! The food was simply delicious!! It is a cute little restaurant right off the square. Some reviews said the sauce tasted oily to them. I agree somewhat- I detected a very slight oily texture but it didn’t stop it from being delicious! If you’ve not tried it is a must!!!!

Tried this place today after leaving the IndyCar race. Got the Mac and cheese bowl with “hot” spice level chicken. Super spicy, and I like spicy food. Potato salad and collard greens were delicious. Would definitely go here again. Serving sizes are extremely generous. 3 course meal and a beer for $21. Can’t beat that.

I got the chicken tenders and slaw. The chicken tenders were huge, hot, and not dried out. I like really hot foods so I ordered my sauce on the side so that I could control how much sauce was on each tender. I ordered the extra hot (capsaicin). It was perfect! The coleslaw was really good too. Service was good! Bathrooms were clean! As far as that goes the whole restaurant was very clean. It was a nice atmosphere. There are large screen tv’s. Will definitely go back! This will be our stopping place any time we’re passing through Lebanon! Thank you BJ Hot Chicken!

This restaurant is on the side of the square here in Lebanon so parking can be an issue if the square is busy! I have been several times and each time has been great but today was fantastic! I had the hot chicken sandwich with loaded fries(bacon, cheese, and some seasoning which in my opinion is smoky) and it was good! Some people won’t like the size of the bun but I think it holds the sandwich together better as it is a chicken tender sandwich! Service was fast, and the food was a good temperature! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Great little spot with great food! Won’t disappoint you. The staff was so friendly & facilities CLEAN. They even let me get a lil taste test of the sides to see if I liked them 1st (collards & potato salad). I liked & got both w/ the happy hour special in mild. It was delicious. We fed our family of 5 for about $68 & everyone was happy. Again, the staff was top notch. Highly recommend if you’re passing through Lebanon TN

Hmmmmm. Not that great. We had better hot chicken in other states. Although the bun was thick and soft, it was too much for the size of the chicken. I was not impressed by the quality or flavors.

Delicious!! We happened upon this place while out in Lebanon today and we were pleasantly surprised! The place is new, clean, and the staff was great at helping us choose what to eat today. We did the 6 tenders + 2 sides and the Mac cheese bowl. Both with the “hot” sauce option. It was definitely hot – but also delicious! Baked beans and collard greens were on point
