Lively, long-running Italian eatery serving trattoria fare in a funky space with eclectic decor.

I had the best time here at this very eclectic Italian bistro. My cousin is visiting from Cali and we had tickets for the Woodlan Park Zoo’s Wild Lanterns exhibit and came here for dinner ahead of time. Highly recommend getting their when they open due to it’s popularity. We went with the house special drink of choice called the Bee’s Knees and it was so delicious we had the clam appetizer, crispy chicken Alfredo, and the chicken parmesan the service was top tier and the decor is great. They have random 70’s, 80’s and 90’s family photos of people who have donated their photos to add to the pizzazz to the decor I highly recommend making this place on your list of must try spots when in Seattle

Loved the quirky and bizzarro decor! You will find a bicycle suspended from the ceiling and 5 million chandeliers. :-). You may even find Waldo! There’s not a shortage of “interesting” paintings/pictures. The oddities are plentiful yet perfectly at home at this restaurant.
Street parking only. We were able to find parking about 1-2 blocks away.
It was busy but not crowded. First comes, first served but was surprised to be seated within minutes.
Service was excellent – many check ins.
The menu noted handmade pastas, life changing broth and world famous sauce so we were ready to have our lives changed! Except we were let down on all FIVE pasta dishes. It was as if they forgot to season everything.
A few positives – there were lots of clams in the clam linguine, gigantic meatballs and decent (world famous marinara) in the weekend meatballs and large portions.
The Elk bolognese and Poblano Cannellini were dry and served lukewarm. 🙁
With all the positive reviews, we were hopeful that Bizzarro Italian Cafe would be added to our list of hidden gems but not from our experience on this visit. Maybe it was a one off?

Bizzarro Italian Cafe never fails! The bread is on the table the minute you’re sat, and immediately refilled. Service is warm and doting. It’s a smaller space, and reminds me of the Billy Joel song, Scenes from an Italian Restaurant! The wine list was superb and the portions are fresh and hot off the grill. We love love Bizzarro!!! Please save room for the tiramisu!

Bizzarro was a really cool restaurant. It have a super cool vibe with lots of colors and interesting paintings and pictures throughout. The food and s great. We had the clam linguine with was delicious. This place makes their pasta fresh daily which is great. They have a nice selection of alcohol and have desserts. The kids had the Alfredo pasta. Bizzarro is kid friendly and they have coloring paper and crayons which is fantastic. The place is a little busy, but not crowded and it has a good layout. Overall a thumbs up and I recommend.

Definitely an eclectic place. Off the beaten path. No reservations accepted, first come first serve. It’s not a big place. The place has a great vibe. Service was good. Whiskey sour was delicious. 2 out of 4 meals were great! For the prices, I’d say not worth it.

If you’re looking for a memorable Italian dining experience, this place has it all!
The atmosphere is quirky and fun, with unique decor that adds a special touch to the evening. Although some decor is adult appropriate only.
The food is incredibly authentic, with decent portions that are sure to satisfy even the hungry appetite. While it is on the pricier side, the quality is worth every penny. Don’t skip the desserts — they’re absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end your meal. Highly recommend!

Have been looking forward to coming here. The staff and atmosphere were amazing. Drinks were fantastic. However my gnocchi just didn’t seem right. They were hard and chewy and almost burnt it seemed. My friends food was great so I’m not sure what happened with mine. I’ll be back to try again!

My family and I came here to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and I wasn’t very impressed with anything about this place. For one, staff wasn’t very welcoming although we got decent service for the most part, like refills. I got the lasagna and upgraded to the Caesar salad which was an extra $8, and it was just a romaine head with some dressing and cheese, as well as hard croutons. It wasn’t good. My lasagna was visually appealing, but did not taste as good as it looked. The Alfredo dish was pretty good though.
They don’t do anything for birthdays and I felt awkward asking, but the server said “nothing for free but we can put in a candle if you want”. She seemed a bit annoyed.
The service was more like “what do you want”, with no greeting, no explanation of the menu at all. The check up was very minimal. I don’t like going to restaurants with service like that.
Wouldn’t go here again.

Crazy decorations, freshly made pasta, delicious bread, and friendly service?? Count me in!
We had a fantastic meal here. We got there before it opened and there were already a few groups of people waiting for tables.
After opening we quickly got our table and placed our orders to try to get our orders in before some of the larger groups tied up the kitchen.
Service was fast and friendly and the pasta dishes were indeed delicious. Our 4 year old daughter loved looking around the restaurant, there’s so much to look at!
I highly recommend this place, it’s fun and totally worth it with prices being very reasonable.
