Social Profile:

Our second location, Bittersweet at the Falls, opened up in 2019 in downtown Ohiopyle, PA and is set up with all the style and creativity of Bittersweet Café, where we focus on fresh and local sourced ingredients but catered to on-the-go adventures. Our hours are fluid and relaxed as is the atmosphere of Ohiopyle. We like to shoot for Fridays: 10AM – 4PM, Saturdays: 9AM – 6PM, and Sundays: 11AM – 4PM, but these hours are weather and customer driven.

I eat at Bittersweet every chance I get. Listen, you’ll never go there and get your food and drink in ten minutes or less. It’s not fast food! The owners, the staff, the ambience, the food and the beverages are TOP TIER! It’s going to be a wait especially at peak times and it’s going to be pricey. Do you shop organic? Notice the price tags? It’s not cheap to eat well. At their Farmington location there is a wall dedicated to coupons whereby people donate money for people who can’t afford the full price tag or are just going through it. It’s a beautiful place. It was her mother’s antique shop moons ago and now she’s made it into a warm and cozy place to have gourmet meals made with love. The Ohiopyle location is only open wkds in the warmer months and if there is a festival. It will always be a little slower as there’s usually only one to two ppl there. It’s all that can fit tbh. Always worth the wait in my opinion.

Stopped into Bittersweet this past Saturday. We were the first customers of the day. The Internet was down around town that day.(a common theme in this mountain town) non the less we had cash on hand so problem solved. We had the oppurtunity to talk with the owner and he told us alot of great stories about the area. The food was good I had a breakfast burrito. The interior of this cafe was very beautiful with wood paneling covering the walls. A nice outdoor eating area with plenty of seating under the trees. I’d recommended this place to any visitor in town. We will be back.

Tiny coffee shop in the tiniest of towns, but don’t be fooled, they are amazing! Be aware their hours may vary depending on season and how busy the town gets, but they are mainly open on weekends. The white mocha I got was awesome, perfectly sweet and just the right temp. I was told this was a little satellite location to their main location. Either way great shop, nice outdoor tables, though I wish there was some shade over them. This is the only location for good coffee in Ohiopyle!!

Delicious smoothies, frozen drinks, coffee drinks, cookies, scones, and light fare. Cute shop. A lot is packed into this tiny building. The staff is extremely friendly and there’s outdoor seating too. To top it off, this place is incredibly clean.

Excellent service. Clean, organized and cozy little place. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. Can watch as they make food or drinks. Variety of hot or cold coffees, and fruit smoothies. Made to sit and relax or to go. Food was filling and delicious. Drinks were great. Sitting is in sun and needs some shading. Yet over all definetly on the to go back list.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to get some coffee since it was our first time at Ohiopyle and we happened to stumble upon this place while we were exploring and we weren’t disappointed! The girl taking our order was incredibly helpful, friendly, and courteous, and our drinks were delicious. My only issue with this place is that the prices are not posted and the cost was somewhat expensive for what you get but it’s cute and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We went on Saturday May 23rd, 2020, which was Memorial Day Saturday. The place had a crazy line formed outside, and I half didn’t even want to go there. I waited in the line, and it was very much worth it.

The food was great, and the smoothies were just what we needed after cycling the trail. My kids got grilled cheese, which was great. It was two large pieces of bread, lots of shredded cheese, and a panini press. I got avacado toast with an egg, and the egg was from a local farm. Very fresh and perfectly prepared.

The service was excellent, especially considering that they should have been overwhelmed with how many people were there and how long they were waiting.

When we go back to Ohiopyle, this is where we are going again!

I really wanted to love this cafe as it’s so cute. After having gone twice, I’m not sure I will return. The first time we waited so long for a breakfast burrito that we ended up cancelling the order and leaving. The second time I ordered two coffee drinks and was stunned when the total was $17. Prices aren’t on the menu but I never could’ve imagined it would be so expensive. We also waited an incredibly long time for the coffees. This place has a lot of potential but something has got to be done about the wait times and please post the prices so people know what they are getting themselves into before ordering.

We hit it up right before closing time and they had ran out of an ingredient for a smoothie I wanted to order. I told them to take the main ingredient they did have and we got creative. What they came up with was amazing (along with the pulled pork grilled cheese) … I joked that this new drink needed to be added to the menu and called “The Rob” .. lol
I appreciated the fun ordering turned into and that was truly one of the best grilled cheese combinations I ever had.

The building is adorable. But I’ve only seen them open once. The prices aren’t posted. Ask before ordering or be prepared for the prices to be higher than expected.
