Bites Pub & Grub was a solid 4/5. Food was on par with what we were expecting. Drinks were reasonably priced. Kids menu offers the traditional items that kids love. Outdoor patio seating was available for a beautiful fall brunch. The server was always making sure our drinks were topped off.

Rainy day drive to Pine River. Stopped in after lunch rush. Great food, incredible service and wonderful setting.
BBQ Brisket sandwich was killer, slab slices, tasty sauce, fresh warm bun. Cole slaw was cold, crisp and tangy.
The Philly Steak sandwich was packed with lean, moist, hot slices of prime rib, melted Swiss, perfectly grilled onions & peppers with a Au jus that was spot on, accompanied by a sizeable serving of the best batter fries in the Lakes Area.
Best surprise was a blooming onion in a batter that was reminiscent of Jerry’s Drive-In (St. Paul) the Rolling Stone Bar (Newport), JT’s and the old A & W on Robert Street in West St.Paul. Light, not oily, crisp & slightly sweet batter.
Our server was personable, knowledgeable, fast, attentive and one of the best at her craft.
We’ll be back for breakfast and dinner as our lunch experience was perfect, even with the rain!

I heard about this restaurant from a negative facebook post bashing the owner and a recently purchased car. That day, I drove 3 hours north to check this place out for myself! Needless to say, I will never go back. The service wasn’t great, the food was awful (they forgot all my burger toppings and the burger was VERY overcooked), there were fruit flies flying around me at the bar, and not once did the bartender ask me how my meal was. I was hoping to find a diamond in the rough but I was wrong.

Had the worst breakfast ever!! It looked good when it came but it was terrible. It was supposed to be a skillet .Gave me wrong potatoes, no cheese, ham was cold and was so terrible I wish I hadn’t tried it. No onions ,green peppers were hard . I did eat the eggs but they weren’t right either. My husband pancakes were a joke. He never puts syrup on them but he used all that they gave him so they had flavor. Left hungry.

I was out riding all day today with a friend, and we decided to stop in here for dinner, and it didn’t disappoint. Great experience all around. Well worth the money spent. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re ever in the Pine River area of Minnesota.

We showed up with a party of 9 no warming and they got us seated pretty dang fast. I’m so thankful to them being accommodating. I got the nachoes, my husband got the holy cheeses burger, the kid got the chicken strips basket. Everything was delicious and well made and came out in good time. Prime rib was the special and it was also really good according to my mother in law. Sister in law liked the shoreline, brother in law liked the sirloin. Everyone really enjoyed the food Including the kids. I love that they had water at the table, and they were great at refilling the drinks. I appreciate the great service, food and atmosphere.

Decent but heavy food.
We stopped here recently and tried quite a few things. My shrimp pasta was ok but could have used something to brighten it up a bit as it was pretty heavy. The curds were good and fried well. The broccoli cheddar soup was fantastic, but the shrimp basket and the Mac and cheese were a disappointment, both pretty greasy and dry.
As far as service goes, everyone was very friendly but our waitress didn’t come back very often. It’s worth a stop if you’re passing through Pine River. We will definitely be giving them another shot.

Excellent food and service. For a triple A dining experience, go to Bites! Had their Cobb salad tonight, it is SO good and filling. My partner had the brisket and hamburger with waffle fries. Chipotle ranch for dipping the waffle fries. Excellent!
