Food was delicious! I had clam chowder and a Lobster Roll flight (if you’re like me and assumed the sandwiches were hot- they are served cold. Silly me). Having the option to sample 3 different styles of roll off the menu was really great.
My friend got the lobster Mac and cheese, and it was done right! Rounded it out with some local sodas- perfect touch.
I loved the area as it wasn’t very crowded, they had indoor and outdoor seating. It’s close to local breweries and they welcome you to purchase a beverage from a neighbor to enjoy with your meal- super cool vibes.

Absolutely must-visit restaurant in Portland serving delicious local food! If you are looking to try multiple kinds of lobster rolls, this place lets you order a flight of smaller ones which is perfect for sharing with a group! The lobster mac n cheese and the pulled pork sandwich were also incredible if you’re not up for a lobster roll. Not a ton of seating inside, but a few tables and they have restrooms and water cups available. Would definitely recommend going to this place if you’re looking for some great local food! The staff was also super friendly!! Support local restaurants!

Definitely one of the best lobster roll spots in New England. Juicy, tender hunks of lobster served on perfectly buttery warm toasted buns. The lobster roll sampler of 3 minis was fantastic for the same price as a regular roll, we split two of them to try all 6 varieties. The clam chowder was rich and well-seasoned, but could’ve used some more clams.

Highly recommend, affordable and good customer service. Food was fresh and delicious. The outside patio was cute and loved that it had umbrellas cause it was a little rainy that day. The lobster rolls and lobster bisque was sooooo good! I got the three mini rolls. I do wish they give fries, instead of chips but it was cool. I also enjoyed that, the food is made fresh but still doesn’t take long, it was a reasonable wait time which I appreciated. I will definitely be back again.

Solid spot for lobster rolls with unique flavors.

Came here for a quick bite before dinner. Unlike most of the touristy spots in the Old Port area that offer either cold mayo or hot butter lobster rolls, they had a lot more options. However, like many Maine spots I’ve tried, the seasoning was extremely restrained. So the variations felt more conceptual than impactful.

No doubt about the quality tho. Extremely fresh lobster meat with a perfectly bouncy texture. But most of the seasoning barely registered. Even the curry mayo roll had only the faintest hint of spice, hiding somewhere in the background. The classic Maine roll (chives & cold mayo) ended up being the best. Still, trying 3 variations for just $30 was nice.

Best lobster roll in Portland. Hands down. Recommend getting one of each (ME and CT style). Also maybe the best lobster mac n cheese (we havent tried many). Would rank the roll above Eventide and Highroller. We first had Bite into Maine lobster roll during a bike tour a few years ago when we first visited Portland. This place is the reason we came back!!!

Amazing staff at this location.

The food was fantastic! I tried the clam chowder and a lobster roll flight perfect for sampling three different styles (note: the rolls are served cold). My friend had the lobster mac and cheese, and it was spot on. Pairing everything with local sodas was a nice touch. The area is relaxed, not crowded, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Bonus points for letting you bring a drink from nearby breweries such a cool, laid-back vibe.

On a trip to Portland ME we found this Very nice restaurant for a quick bite. It seemed very popular.
Food was delicious, service was great and the place was clean. Restrooms were also nice and clean.
I tried the Lobster Bisque and Lobster Mac & Cheese and they were both really good.
My wife also liked her New England Clam Chowder and Lobster Grilled Cheese.
They have free parking for their restaurant but only a few spots and they seemed full all the time. We had to wait a little until someone pulled out.

We got two lobster rolls ($30 or $40 each) and a kids Mac n cheese. After waiting 30 minutes we saw that our lobster rolls had been sitting on the counter but were told they had to make more Mac n cheese. After my 5 year old had a meltdown, I went to check on the Mac n cheese again, about 30 minutes later, it had been made but no one seemed to have any idea that we were waiting for it. The cashier even rang me up to pay again. Food was good but service terrible — $100 for lunch.
