We had dinner there last night and the food was great. Wife and I shared a Caesar salad. She had the best veggie burger of her life. Even I liked it but liked my beef stew better. Yummy lemon crepe for dessert. They need and deserve more customers with the quality of their food! Chef came out to speak with us. Nicest guy. Arrived 3 months ago from France. We will be back!

Our first visit was on Christmas day, so thanks to Le Bordeaux for opening. Nice welcoming service, they were seating un-booked guests, without over stretching their selves, which is good. They also seated one person, which is nice, not all restaurants do on Christmas day. Serving staff are friendly and nice. Food was okay without being outstanding and was in our opinion, about 20% over priced, the exception being the chocolate mousse, which was itself outstanding. Wine was very good value. I had the French onion soup, which was $10, and to be honest, not worth that amount. It was served almost boiling and I had to wait 10 mins for it to cool. The duck breast was nice but a little tough. But to be fair, I asked for it to be rare, and this is the first time for quite a while I ate duck breast. Maybe this cut is not the tenderest? Next time, I would ask for a medium cook to make it easy to cut. They had a 4 course meal on offer for $65, which looked good value, but too much food for us. We would have preferred a 3 course. So, a nice friendly place, downtown location, but over priced for what you get. We would go back though, just to try the chocolate mousse again! Thanks again for opening Christmas and seating single people.

I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the food! My husband and I had a monthly special malbec wine, French onion soup, the croque monsieur and the me French beach – the soup was one of the best I’ve had! The sandwiches were superb and the wine was very tasty. The service was exceptional and we will definitely be coming back!

When it was Le Bordeaux: Well-executed French standards from all over, not strictly Bordeaux classics, with good values in French wines. Warm but proper service, charming country inn, tablecloth style. Noise just right. Hope for more nightly specials, as this chef can do it all.

the food is marginal and relatively expensive; really nothing special to write home about; just for a main course with desert, we spent 70,00 $ (2 people); service is very nice and prompt, but we went there when no other guests were in the restaurant; nevertheless, we wanted to try it anyway; the restaurant across the street was packed; so were others in the area; I wonder why;
