A very nice overall experience at this restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was very typic of a French bistro. Nice decor and a large menu. The food was delicious across the board.
I especially enjoyed the cassoulet, which was rich, comforting, and well prepared. My companions ordered the steak and the French onion soup, and both dishes were very good and nicely executed. While the prices felt a bit on the high side, that’s fairly typical for DC, and the quality and experience helped justify the cost.

Bistro Du Coin was the perfect spot for a relaxed late weekend lunch with my wife. We enjoyed the French onion soup which was rich and comforting and paired it with a smaller carafe of wine that felt just right for the afternoon. The atmosphere was warm and inviting without feeling rushed which made it easy to linger and enjoy the experience. Everything came together nicely from the food to the pace of the meal and we would happily eat there again.

Someone recommended Bistrot Du Coin and I have to say we were not disappointed. Best meal we had in DC. The menu is both extensive and classic French bistro fare. We had escargots, mussels, and pate to start. My friends had the bouef bourguinon and steaks frites, while I had the cassoulet. They were all delicious. Ended the meal with the tarte tartine and mont blanc. We will definitely be back.

Food is always top notch and the last time I went was maybe in 2010-2011. We went back in November 2025.Nothing has changed which is why it is so charming. The wait can be a bit long so make a reservation. I recommend the Steak Fritas with delicious French fries , escargo and bread pudding desert. Small, busy, authentic and some French bread do die for!!!

The food was out of this world. The escargot and pate was superb. The drinks were good. The place was packed. We asked to sit upstairs. My boyfriend enjoyed the mussels. The service was good but slow because it was so crowded.

Very much was a welcoming place. Lots of seating and decorations. There was a ton of noise though that really made the mood lower since me and my plugs couldn’t hear each other. Food was extremely good and I highly recommend it even if the price is really high. It almost made me excuse their fake French accents.

French food finally impressed. Fantastic lamb stew. Do not expect much if you don’t eat meat or even if you don’t eat beef / pork. Ambiance is rather gray. Pricing is high. Good wine okay service (also cute little wine glasses!!)

Steak frites were just okay, it was cooked very well (I asked for medium and it was exactly that and tender), but the seasoning was a bit off-too much of a charcoal taste for my liking. Offering a side of Dijon mustard would’ve made it a little more authentic. The snails were excellent, and the rabbit in the rabbit stew was very tender, although it did get a bit rich towards the end. Ambiance is great, service is quick

4.5/5 stars. I dined alone while on a business trip and had a delightful experience. The food and wine were great, service excellent, and ambiance was vibrant. I appreciate restaurants that can comfortably accommodate single diners and aren’t overly attentive. I had the Roquefort salad and the steak maison and both were good, the salad especially. The steak tasted a little charred for my taste, but was cooked well and the accompanying fries were crispy and not too salty.
