Per my observation, I could say this is a local spot for folks. I give full stars meaning 10/10 from service to food. The owner and the staff are so welcoming, friendly and communicative. The food is delicious. I was given 2 free dessert wine shots, which were quite sweet to me myself but I valued the hospitality. Though the complimentary bread and butter were quite hard and dry but they were nothing compared to all the above advantages. I’d probably come back another time to check out more.
I’d recommend reservations in advance because it’s not spacious. I was lucky enough to walk in with any wait ( I went by myself and on Sunday afternoon)

Amazing experience! I’d never been to a restaurant that serves only Portuguese only food. I actually thought it was French when I made the reservation, but I’m so glad I chose it. The owners were lovely, and our group of five was treated to a complimentary dessert wine after dinner, it was strong like a bourbon or brandy, but sweet and smooth with a honey flavor. Absolutely delicious. Everything the food, atmosphere, and service was phenomenal.

There was such hype about this restaurant, but it was less to be desired. The food was mediocre. My entree, the salmon with vegetables, was ok, but then I found a long hair on my plate under the vegetables. Personally, once this happens, I lose my appetite completely, however they brought a new plate but by the time they did, my family was almost done eating. My experience in other restaurants which I frequent often in Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island typically deduct that entree off the bill if something like that happens. It’s just so unfortunate because we were all looking forward to trying this restaurant, but it just didn’t meet the expectations that were set by others.

Every once in a while the time space continuum opens up for a delightful meal at a wonderful restaurant in an off the beaten track place. Last night it was Bistro12 in Tarrytown NY. Eggplant parm showed up n the menu along with pasta bolognese. Miguel the owner was beyond gracious and serenaded us with a short guitar riff. Idyllic.

I had the braised Rabbit w/ White Wine and Porcinni Mushrooms
She had the Ravioli Tartufuto w/ White Shitake, Cream and Truffle Oil.
Service was very professional!
We had reservations so there was no wait.
It was an awesome meal!

Nice restaurant. I had curry monk fish. Not a flavor combination I enjoyed. I love curry and monk fish separately but together it did not work for me. My wife had Portuguese cod. Liked very much. I found prices a bit high but Terrytown is not a cheap town.

Met at the front door with a smile by Carlos and quickly seated. We shared a beet salad and enjoyed the bread. We each had a risotto, I had the seafood and my companion had the filet Mignon risotto. Had a delicious flan to cap it off!

The food is authentic, fresh and delicious! The ambience is warm and inviting… As an added bonus, the art on display is also phenomenal!
