This place is a hidden gem in downtown Twentynine Palms, with it’s homemade southern style menu. The service was so amazing and the food was prepared fresh and served in a timely matter. Moscow Mules was the drink of choice for the night and it’s refreshing taste made me forget about to 110 degree heat. Banana pudding was also very delicious.

I’ve been a total of 3 times. My initial experience was terrific, service was friendly, atmosphere was nice and food was better than I anticipated. I ordered fried fish but was given baked. Wasn’t worth the hassle to take it back. The last 2 times were less than good, especially the last. The food tasted different, very bland, lukewarm as if it had been nuked in the microwave, the fish was extremely small, and the portions way smaller. I bought extra fish on the side, which I’m glad I did after seeing our 2 dinners. For the prices listed, the portions should be bigger and perhaps recipe’s should be consistent. I’m hesitant to order food again as I value what I spend and I don’t care to be disappointed again.

Love the chicken & waffles! Atmosphere is great, you forget you’re in the middle of the desert. The lady (chef / manager, not sure) always comes over to make sure everything is good, very sweet. We return at least once a month. Only downside is if it’s busy it may be slow, as expected for all these smaller places.

The food was absolutely fabulous! It was fully cooked, very appetizing and good. The decor was very romantic and the atmosphere was wonderful. It is a little pricey for just a night out but you get what you pay for in the quality of food. I don’t have much good to say about our service. He must’ve just been busy because he didn’t come to our table more than once, forgot our drinks and it took him so long to return to our table that the manager noticed and came and took our order. The manager was fabulous though!

I heard about Bistro Twentynine though Living Social. I purchased a voucher and before I ordered I informed the waitress of my Living Social offer. She was very nice and said it was fine and that we could order anything from the menu, so we went ahead and had a decent meal. When it was time to pay, the waitress sounded confused when we brought up the voucher again. Things got very confusing and after the owner came over, they denied my offer. She said that she had no clue about doing any business though Living Social. She said she only had an account through Groupon. This sounded like a SCAM and they were clearly playing dumb. How was it that before I ordered things were fine but when it came time to redeem my voucher, they seemed clueless!?? I had to pay full price and now I have to deal with Living Social about getting my money back because I will not be going back to that bistro!

We went here last night for our 8th wedding anniversary. We loved it! The food was excellent as well as the service. It was very romantic! It was expensive, but we where celebrating so it was worth it. We may go here again for another spacial occasion, but not for a regular night out.

It was my first time here with my girls for a dinner. I was pleasantly surprised and very much enjoyed my experience James was our server tonight, he was tentative and sweet. The food was great and reasonably priced. Certainly will be back.

Horrible. We went with several friends and the food was just awful. One plate came frozen still and had to be taken back to be warmed up but even then it wasn’t fresh or hot, just luke warm. Seemed like frozen foods from a grocery store and the vegetables tasted like canned veggies. My chicken was very thin and over cooked to the point of being almost like beef jerky. Sad thing is I’m not even exaggerating about any of this. We just had a very bad experience.
I will say that the service from the waitress was good. She was very nice when we had to send one of the plates back.

An absolute delight. The food was amazing! I had the pork chop with collard greens and a salad. Was stuffed when I left. The server was very pleasant and attentive. This place was closed for some time and this was my first visit. Definitely recommend.
