Cozy, relaxed fixture offering wood-fired, thin-crust pizza, familiar Italian entrees & local wines.

We had a great meal tonight at Bistro Six One. The food was amazing. I had the Shrimp and Sausage Ariabbatta and it was delicious. A very nice portion of pasta with 6 large juicy shrimp and plenty of Italian sausage all tossed in a spicy tomato sauce with red and yellow peppers. My wife see exposed to go with the Butter Basted Salmon, again cooked to perfection and served with a warm potato salad. The potato salad had far too much mustard, which was unfortunate, but still was edible. We had a nice table right by the front window which was perfect, giving us a great vantage point to people watch the busy sidewalk. The experience tonight was fantastic, we really enjoyed the meal and will certainly return when in NOTL.

Appetizers were the best part. Pizzas are not fully wood fired, they have cheap canned tomato sauce and the crust tastes like Walmart’s premade crust. They’re not good. The Roma pizza was insanely watery and the crust was soggy. The margherita pizza is a cheese pizza, not a true margherita. The pulled beef grilled cheese sandwich comes with a really weird jus that tastes like canned soup. Server did the bare minimum.
Overall not a great experience. We paid and tipped because we were in a rush, but we won’t be back.

Had a wonderful experience at Bistro Six One! The ambience was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed evening out. We tried their pizza and paired it with a glass of wine, and both were absolutely fantastic. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The servers were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. A great spot to unwind and enjoy a quality meal. Highly recommended if you’re in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area!

We had a great dinner at Bistro Six-One in NOTL. The Spicy Thai Shrimp and Tomato Basil Soup were perfect starters. For mains, we tried the Philly Cheese Pizza, Shrimp Linguini, Mushroom Ravioli, and the Carne Asada Grilled Cheese. The pastas and pizza were especially delicious, and while the sandwich was good, it didn’t quite stand out as much as the others.
Our server Andrew was fantastic. He was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.
Overall, great food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!

Disregard every other negative review because I genuinely don’t understand the hate this place gets (and honestly, some of those reviews are just absurd). First off, the pricing is not outrageous, especially compared to the other unbelievably expensive options on Queen Street.
Now, the food. The French onion soup is like a polite high-five from me. The flavor is spot on but the croutons have clearly been soaking for a bit too long, leaving them soggy, and the broth was just a touch watery—but it’s trying, and I respect the effort.
This seems to be the theme here: not the worst thing I’ve eaten, not the best—but I’m GONNA eat it. Like the BBQ Burger threw me for a loop because it looked different than a traditional patty. Is that a Canadian thing? I don’t know, but it was definitely…different. Same story for the pizza—nothing earth-shattering, but it gets the job done.
What really stands out, though, is the service and atmosphere. The staff are genuinely friendly, and the vibe is warm and welcoming. If you’re on Queen Street and don’t want to spend a bunch for dinner (or have a large party of people), and you’re just in the mood for some comfy, no-frills eats, this is your spot. Just don’t expect fine dining in the sea of fine dining that surrounds it.

Pizza tasted good, but unfortunately I found a hair baked into the dough on the very last bite after eating the whole thing — felt so gross afterwards. When I mentioned it, they said it didn’t come from the kitchen, though it was clearly baked in (I literally pulled it out). On the positive side, they were kind enough to void it from the bill. Food quality was nice, but hygiene definitely needs improvement.

Not even one star worth. Had a pizza for a take out and was really bad. The crust was burnt, the sauce was cold and everything tasted horribly. The price was 18$ for 6 slice pizza not really see the worth of it.
Also the bottom of the pizza was stuck to the paper.
Do yourself a favor and don’t buy pizza here.

The service was just perfect. Andrew was amazing, attentive and a great listener. He recommended the Roma pizza, which was absolutely delicious. However, the pasta dish we chose was rather disappointing: the linguine was overcooked, and the sauce was bland and lacked flavor.
The outdoor patio is also lovely and adds to the overall experience.
