This lovely little restaurant situated in the heart of the small village of Braine-Le-Château gives you a heart-warming and welcoming feeling when walking through the door. The staff is very friendly. Passion for food and wine comes screaming through the walls. Well balanced and Michelin-star innovative plates of food based on classic recipes with room for foreign influences. Lovely off-the-menu starters get presented upon your arrival to leave you mouth watering throughout the whole service. A large blackboard presents the menu which is mostly comprised out of three starters – three mains and three of four deserts. Limited amount of dishes are a sign of quality and freshness. Myself and two friends came from the United States to try a Michelin star restaurant – which none of us had been to before. We do not speak any other languages including French. The staff told us they do not speak English, but I think they definitely were much better than they gave themselves credit for. Everyone was super accommodating and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. I would even say it was a great value. It was well worth a half day trip from Brussels to try it out.

It’s a small casual bistro you wouldn’t even know that’s an one michelin star restaurant. But once the dishes were served, you understand why, it was absolutely amazing! Every little thing was spot on and beautiful plating! Service was friendly and nice. Just a small issue, they can only speak french. Make sure to get your table in advance, this restaurant is so difficult to book! So worth the drive we’ll be back for sure!
