Food was pretty good. Solid flavor, red beans and rice was underwhelming tho. Spacious resturant, the inside could be spruced up a little .Had the cheese burger, blackened chicken wrap, chicken parm., and a cup of red beans & rice.

I went with a large group of people. The atmosphere is great, and the service was excellent. The Okra Seafood Gumbo was delicious. I did not enjoy the BBQ Shrimp Almadine. I reordered the shrimp and oyster platter, and it was ok. I will go back as I would like to try some of the other options.

The food was absolutely fantastic! I had a dish, maybe called the Bayou Stack, that was fish, eggplant, and a crab patty layered and covered in a seafood cream sauce. That wasn’t the best part: it was the crab au gratin. Lovely lump white crab in a decadent cheese sauce. The service was great! The only “drawback” was the smoke coming from the chargrilled oysters at the next table was choking us. I’m honestly not sure why so much smoke was pouring from the shells; it filled the dining room. I will definitely be back.

I met with friends who I hadn’t seen in a long time. Our waitress was amazing. We had drinks, everything was so good. I had the seafood gumbo. The gumbo was amazing, very much like my grandmother’s, nice dark roux, shrimp, oysters and half of a small crab. It was the next best gumbo I had had since my grandmothers. I also had the Crawfish Madeline with artichoke hearts and eggplant medallions. I plan on bringing my husband and children next time we’re in town.

Absolutely Excellent food! We picked the Best night to come too! Got here early and we were one of two tables. At one point we had the restaurant to ourselves. Then it started to pick up. Highly recommend this place! Food, music, staff, and owner were all awesome! We came here by chance and are extremely pleased!!

An Escaped Mind
I went to this restaurant for the first time with my family for our annual Christmas dinner. My uncle Pat chose this place. We had approximately twenty people in our party and we were seated in a private dining area, which wasn’t impressive at all. Horrible wall art, a burnt out lightbulb in the unaesthetic lighting fixture.
I ordered the Catfish Jambalaya. The worst jambalaya I have ever seen and eaten in my life. It looked like an overcooked slop of rice with a single 1/4″ slice of sausage. ONE SINGLE SLICE of sausage! I was served four small slices of catfish, which were delicious. My eight year old son ordered the spaghetti and meatball. He was served one large meatball that was 50% raw on the inside! I sent it back and they recooked it, which my son didn’t eat, so I ate it. No issues with service, just the food is mediocre at best and lousy decor. A restaurant that can’t cook jambalaya obviously reflects the ignorance of the owner, which trickles down to the chefs and the other dishes.

Please DO NOT get the BBQ shrimp pasta… I stated to the manager that I did not like my meal and he replied “I can’t take it off your bill so do you want me to box it for you?” Like what?! Then asked if I wanted to order something else?! Absolutely Not! You will not charge me for everything I didn’t eat! This is my first time having a bad experience with them and them not having a resolution… it’s because of this I will NOT return!

Hands down one of the best spots to get yourself some Cajun food in NOLA. The “happy hour” $4 bloody Mary’s were delicious! I ordered the Catfish and jambalaya meal. The food was amazing, the server was amazing, the experience was amazing. The portions of everything was worth the price. Will definitely dine here again in the future. Might I add, the server was very patient with my table and I, as we had MANY questions about the menu/suggestions lol. So thank you to the sweet waitress.

My boyfriend and I go here very frequently and we absolutely love the food and service here! I think this place is very under rated because it’s tucked away but if you have a chance definitely try it out you wouldn’t regret it!
