I ended up having almost all my meals here during the 2 of the 4 days I spent in Esperance, and for good reason. The place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff are exceptionally kind and warm. A special shout-out to Paul and Sara ❤️ for taking such wonderful care of us and always going out of their way to accommodate us whenever possible.

The food is thoughtfully prepared – consistently delicious and comforting. Easily one of the highlights of my time in Esperance, and a place I’d return to without a second thought ❤️

Food here is exquisite. The baguette was warm, crispy crust and soft inside. The pie was delicious and steaming hot underneath the pastry. Fish of the day used local fish, which is hard to distinguish. Above all’s truly authentic….

Lovely little spot for dinner but is let down by substandard food and inconsistant service. Entree was a steak tartar; the meat had greyed and was not cured properly so had an offputting flavour. It came with only one piece of bread and was interlaced with chewy sinew. This was reported to staff, but we are unsure if it got reported to the kitchen. The duck and gnochi for mains were nice, as were the french martinis. Our dessert order got lost and we sat unattended for 30 minutes before deciding to leave, minus the dessert order. The prices are set at a premium level but the experience was not up the required standard.

Excellent food. Great service. Cosy atmosphere which is a covered deck on the side of the house. Easy to book online, which is recommended. We went on a Saturday evening and it was full. Had a great evening. My steak was perfect. Rare, as I’d requested. But it must have been given a few seconds on a white hot grille as there was a very thin, crisp top to it. Delicious.

But…a warning. Due to the configuration of the bistro and odd local laws (?) regarding the requirement for toilets, there IS no toilet. You have to use a public toilet about 100m away in the park alongside. Not ideal…

I was so disappointed in the meal I had here, I booked for a romantic night with my husband and got a babysitter. His gnocchi was tasteless and hard and doughy, and my steak was tough. It was the end piece of a fillet cut and chewy. So sad as we looked forward to this our whole stay

This is a little touch of French food heaven in the heart of Esperance (which translates in English to Hope!)… Our shared starter was delicious, especially the cured salmon and the Coq Au Win pie I had for main was so rich and hearty… The customer service was second to none with us being covered in rose petals when we sat down as it was Valentines Day ❤️ Unlike lots of restaurants tha make you feel rushed on a “holiday” day – we did not feel rushed at all… 100% worth a visit

Yummo! Great place for a brekky or brunch. The service was amazing, super friendly and welcoming as always (special thank you to our waitress Clem♥️) and super grateful for the special of the day: empanadas! (Take away for lunch later)

Set within a historic village setting, this bistro brings a touch of French style to the coastal town. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, giving it the feeling of a hidden gem. The dishes are prepared with care using traditional techniques and local ingredients. It’s a wonderful place for a quiet dinner after visiting the nearby national parks.
