Such a beautiful place! Outside looks like a simple diner but then you walk in and hear the soft jazz playing. You look around and you feel like you’re on a cabin on the water gorgeous vibes and wonderful menu! Very French options in case you’re looking for the salade niçoise or croque monsieur that you cant find ANYWHERE ! Really happy to find this place and enjoy a WONDERFUL lunch! Next time i hope they still have the salted caramel mocha chip ice cream! Yes, that’s a mouthful but still sounds GREAT!

Love this place, it’s hard not to order the same meal everytime, but if you don’t you’ll never really know that everything on the menu is delicious.
4 out of 5 stars on Atmosphere only for the lack of soft music. A curated French Restaurant Pandora station would compliment the experience.

Excellent, scratch made, small, family owned restaurant. It is very clear right away from the bread that the quality of the food is good. Enjoyed each course, excited to try again. Would recommend to the chef consider doing a coursed “chefs tasting” option. Nothing like that exists in West Bloomfield but seems like you might be set up for that.. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is calm and the service is quick and attentive . We arrived at 5:10 for an early dinner. The seasoned rolls were hot and yummy served with real butter. We ordered the watermelon and burrata appetizer – perfect for 2 people. The beef stroganoff was rich and delicious- they did not skimp on the beef or fresh mushrooms. The bolognese was traditional, unlike heavy tomato sauces. We had the crème brûlée too – it is a generous serving!

We’ve been here twice so far and we’d definitely return. It’s family owned and the staff is very friendly. The food is excellent; my wife loves the steak. I had the Butternut Squash, Shrimp, and Cous Cous salad and it was fantastic. They have these shoestring sweet potatoes that are awesome. Highly recommend!

Bistro le Bliss was a lovely find when I visited Michigan. I came in for a quick bite and ended up genuinely impressed by the menu. The French onion soup was rich and flavorful, topped with a thick, melty cap of cheese that held everything together without overpowering the broth. The mussels were fresh and briny, served in a garlicky white wine sauce perfect for dipping which I certainly did with the complimentary bread service.

Would absolutely come back for a full meal next time. Cozy interior, attentive service, and a menu that leans classic in the best way.

What a gem we found! I agree with other reviews that this place does not offer fancy decor, but that’s a plus in my book. This is a place if you don’t want to dress up yet want to eat something good. We arrived around 545, but I could see it quickly getting busy.

The guest population seemed a bit mature (50ish and up), and I loved it as there was no loud music or rowdy party crowd; you could enjoy conversation and good food.

We started with fried smelts, escargots, and burrata/tomato salad. If you are to order escargots, order an extra bread basket with it to soak up its sauce! Burrata/tomato was good, but there was nothing special about it. My kids surprisingly loved deep-fried smelts.

For our entrées, we tried their lamb chops, duck breast, scallops, and salmon. Duck was our least favorite, but it was still good.

We tried their crème brûlée, basque cheesecake, and pecan chocolate cake for dessert. They were all very good.

I almost don’t wanna leave good reviews and keep it to ourselves. And to the reviewer who complained that they closed around 830 while the sign said they’d open till 9, maybe you should have considered possibilities like they sold out their items for a day or they were super slow for a night or maybe nobody really want to work that late serving entitled folks like yourself believing you should be welcomed for going into any restaurant 30 min before closing.

This is a gem of a place! This is my first visit, on the recommendation of my parents who have been here before. The scallops, calamari and escargot appetizers are exquisite. The beef stroganoff and perch are top notch. Quiet atmosphere and not too big of a establishment, which is nice and quaint. You need to try this place!

Tonight we had mushroom crostini, French onion soup, Beef Stroganoff and Duck.

The crostini were a beautiful presentation and delicious. The French onion soup was phenomenal. The broth was perfectly seasoned and just a delight to eat.
The Stroganoff was wonderful. I don’t care for noodles or sour cream…. that being said, the egg noodles were delicate and really quite handsome in the dish. The sauce lovely. The beef, Yakov uses Filet……so delicious! So perfect. Thank you, vey nice dish indeed!

I had Duck. When I tell you, if you EVER want to try duck, this is the time to try it. The skin is crispy, so delicious, the sweet potatoes are fluffy but substantial. The spinach was not overdone. That so many places over cook their food, is understated. Not here the spinach was not wilted and lifeless, it was perfection! The cherries, oh my goodness, Devine(!) and my beloved goat cheese….. perfection.

I haven’t even mentioned dessert. I would never get strudel on any given day as it’s usually too dry, but something called to us. Thank God lol. The dough was fantastic. Ever so flaky and once again, the apples are NOT overdone. Bravo! And never have i had a flourless chocolate cake be so light and addictive to eat! Bravo x2!!!

Yakov, it was a pleasure to dine with you. My only regret was that I couldn’t stop and tell you how lovely our whole meal was from beginning to end. You were much too busy to stop from cooking…. but …..
Thank you a thousand thank you’s!

We picked this restaurant for our monthly book club meet up and discussion. Our waitress was friendly, personable and a joy to talk to. Our food was brought out quickly and was just the right temperature. I tried the Salmon La Blanche. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a cream sauce. We lost track of time chatting about our awesome book this month. The staff was not pushy when we approached closing. The waitress offered us dessert while we chatted. We are planning on coming back for dessert in the next couple months.
