Amazingly quite for holiday season, and an excellent set lunch menu! A short (if steep) walk from the centre of Honfleur, and absolutely delightful stuff. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Having cycled up here earlier in the day we thought we’d try the bistro as it looked gorgeous. The good bits- waiter was lovely, building is very attractive, historic and has a good atmosphere. The not so good – in the bar in the main hotel we said we’d like two small glasses of red wine, instead of giving us the menu so we could see the prices he just reeled off the list. We chose the burgundy and were charged 42 euros, rip off! Ordered rib of beef at 95 euros we expected better, it was chewy. The lighting was weird spotlight in roof that shine into your eyes like you are being interrogated. Of our 3 night stay the most expensive by far and sadly disappointing.

Amazing food in a very charming place. The bistrot is part of a very exclusive Relais et châteaux hôtels. I regret that the service is not at the level of the cuisine and environment (and I’m not talking about the Ukrainian waiter who is doing a great job in my opinion). For instance: we were not given the dessert menu nor asked if we wanted a dessert by the waitress. After finishing our main dishes, we were left for at least 20 minutes without any service, to that add the 20 minutes it took to get the bill. It’s really a pity cuz the food is quiet good and the location is prime.

Beautifully decorated and cozy restaurant very close to Honfleur in a stunning property Relais&Chateau. Had the duck which was very tasty but lacked a bit of excitement and sophistication. The traditional apple tart was very good. Overall a very good experience. Could be improved though.

Very good food. Very good service. Very especial restaurant. It was shown in several Monet paintings.

Very disappointing. Very slow service (maybe due to lack of staff), white wine served after starter with langouste (not fresh) was already cold, red wine served at 28 celcius, meat overcooked. Not at all worthwhile in our opinion and first time we ever left a restaurant during dinner. Just have a look at the wine cooler

Absolute gem – anyone who visits Honfleur without eating here will certainly have missed out. Beautifully manicured gardens (dripping in art history) and a view of the estuary are a bonus!

Last week, we had lunch at Bistro, and unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. When we booked the time slot at 13:45 a week before, we were not informed that at this time, starters are not served, and actually, the kitchen is about to close. Like that, we could only choose from the very limited menu. To make matters worse, the white fish dish I ordered was not up to par. It lacked flavor and freshness that I couldn’t even finish. The service was not friendly and not apologetic for the misinformation with the booking. The only good part is that the restaurant belongs to a nice territory. We needed to stay to chill after such an unpleasant lunch.

The food was very plain. The langoustine appetizer had been frozen as they were very mealy. The tomato caprese was excellent. . Fish dish was plentiful but did not have much taste and no accompanying sauce. Duck was gamey, preparation adequate-thank goodness for the 2 sauces. Service excellent and atmosphere comfortable/attractive. Only submit this review to assist others as we have had fabulous meals in other restaurants in the region.
