Five stars. Bistro Jeanty continues to over-deliver as our go-to neighborhood staple and a consistent top-of-funnel dining choice. The OG menu remains a core strength—timeless, well-executed, and reliably high quality, with no unnecessary pivots or dilution of concept. Service is a standout: attentive, professional, and genuinely hospitable, creating a seamless end-to-end guest experience every visit. The atmosphere strikes the right balance between casual comfort and classic bistro energy, making it an easy repeat destination. Simply put, this is a high-performing operation we return to again and again.

Bistro Jeanty is pure French charm in the heart of Napa Valley! From the moment you walk in, you feel transported straight to a cozy bistro in the French countryside, warm ambiance and the most inviting aroma of butter, garlic, and wine.
Every dish is beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The tomato soup en croûte is a must, rich, velvety, and topped with a perfectly golden puff pastry that melts in your mouth.
Service is friendly, professional, and perfectly paced, you can tell the staff take pride in what they do. The wine list is excellent, with great local selections that pair beautifully with the food.
It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, savor, and truly enjoy every bite. Whether you’re a Napa regular or just visiting, Bistro Jeanty is a timeless, must-visit spot that captures the magic of French dining in the valley.

December 2025 Rustic and casual local French bistro in the heart of culinary Yountville town.

This informal setting serves up authentic provincial French cuisine in very consistent and well made portions. The rotating and seasonal menu with fixed favorites are worth a return visit. The quality ingredients are evident in every morsel and the serving sizes are appropriate. A good balance of flavors is well matched with the attentive and knowledgeable servers.

The bistro remains consistent in its environs with a loyal clientele making the place often crowded and busy as local communal provincial bistro can be.

Three main areas are available from the bar and entrance room, a main dining and a rooted open area with heated tables.

Reservations are much recommended

Definitely a must culinary experience

Visited Bistro Jeanty with friends and absolutely loved it. The place is so cozy and warm. It really feels like a little local restaurant tucked away in a small European town.

The food was amazing and super comforting, the kind that just makes you happy. Such a cute spot for a relaxed meal and good company. Would definitely come back

Bistro Jeanty blew me away—hands down the best tomato soup I’ve ever had, rich and comforting like a warm hug in a bowl. The ratatouille was fresh and flavorful, while the sole with lemon was simply divine—light, delicate, and perfectly balanced. And don’t even get me started on the Nutella crème brûlée—it was an unforgettable sweet finale, silky and indulgent. Service was friendly and attentive, though a bit slow, but honestly, the food was so worth the wait. A truly special spot that I’ll be dreaming about until my next visit!

Finally came back to Napa and was looking forward dinning here again. I came for dinner alone and hostess greeted me and offered bar top or patio table. I didn’t wait too long for server and the food came out pretty quickly. I did enjoy my dinner and some wines I’ve picked.
But.
Interaction with server was quite cold. I’m working in a fine dining restaurant so I know how does it feel sometimes to get a single diner on a Saturday night and from my observation that’s how my server felt.
I wasn’t asked for allergies. No one told me a single word about menu, drinks or specials while two tables next to me who joined patio shortly were given entire tour . Server dropped a check on the table together with dessert and didn’t even ask if I want anything else. That made me feel rushed. So overall not the experience I was looking for.

P.S. – please check your restrooms more often. It was nasty. Paper towels everywhere, trash basket overflown.

Wow, this was a foodie delight. If you love a very traditional French meal, Bistro Jeanty is your place. Located in downtown Yountville, we started with a very fresh beet salad. Then we shared mussels in a traditional white broth. These are a specialty of the house and were plump and delicious. Our other main course was the dunginess crab risotto also very tasty and fresh. A classic creme brulée finished off a delightful meal. Service was impeccable and the restaurant was quite appreciative of our patronage.

Very good French restaurant in Napa Valley. Good wines and great food, great service. My fish was huge and soft and moist. Escargot was hot and good with wine. I want to come back soon.
