We had our anniversary lunch here and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious with generous portions that left us fully satisfied. The staff even surprised us with a beautiful “Happy Anniversary” decoration on our dessert plate — such a thoughtful touch. We both enjoyed excellent souffle desserts. The garlic prawn dish (which was not inexpensive) was small and seemed to be too many different competing flavours. Sitting in a table on its own near the front door lacked ambiance but was quiet.

Enjoyed a lovely meal today. Chef added an extra scallop to the entree dish for us to share – we were hoping to have dessert too. The beef cheeks were rich and beautifully flavoured. Unfortunately we didn’t quite make it to dessert – look forward to next time.

Stopped in at 11:15am. We were told we had to order food to be served drinks. All 4 tables outside were empty and only a few people inside. We were actually considering staying for some nibbles but this comment made us feel uncomfortable so we went to Hello Neighbour instead, and they accommodated us. Surely a business being open would warrant us being able to order drinks. I would not recommend purely based on “service”.

A birthday celebration required great food and a nice atmosphere and Bistro Francais delivered on both. We worked our way through quite a bit of the menu and everything was a hit. We took some wine that we had been saving for a special occasion and they treated it with care. Great staff.

Fantastic experience. The food was the standout as everyone at our table loved their selections.
The Escargot, beef bourguignon, lamb cutlets, creme brulee were simply delicious.
The service was fast, friendly and efficient.
No problem with any noise even with the front area being pretty full.
All in all a great meal in a very comfortable setting.
