Not giving a 5-star only because it smelled like marijuana when we were there, the food was absolutely outstanding.
The croquettes were crispy and balanced in flavors, surprisingly they didn’t taste too heavy even though they were deep fried. The shrimp one was very good, the mini shrimps inside were at firm texture and made a good contrast with the crispiness and soft dough. The monkfish was firm and tender in texture and served in an Asian fusion style, using coconut light curry as the base and it matched very well with shiitake. The only improvement could be done was the quality of the rice. The deer meat was very juicy, and the red wine braised pear neutralized the gamy flavors of the meat while adding sweetness to the savory flavors. The whole plate had a various of foods to offer, yet everything was harmonizing each other and you don’t feel overwhelmed.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars just for the service alone. It was impeccable and we lacked for nothing.
Food was delicious and the quality matched the price. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting Belgian dishes but also more interesting things.

After the Sunday market, we came here for lunch. The beef stew with small salad and fries on the side was good. The mussels were really fresh also with fries on the side. There are more seating on the first floor too. The staff spoke a bit of French and he understood some English.

Came back here again, maybe over 20times…b’cz, always tasty dishes and good services.
The shrimp croquettes are awesome.
A good thing this time is to eat the asparagus. I took 2 starters of tartare and Flemish style. Both were excellent!
Thank you for these 6yrs, and I hope I’ll be back in the future from Japan.

Food is very delicious and is reasonably priced. The staff is excellent! Special mention to Barry and Dephne, the staff who attended to us. Worth going back to Antwerp for!

Awesome oysters, amazing salmon tartare, and super friendly and helpful staff!
Mousse was also good – but I’m not big on sweets, so it’s not high on my list compared to the oysters and tartare.
Will definitely go if I’m in Antwerp again

With a party of more than 4 you are restricted to choosing 4 appetizers for the group and 4 main courses for the group. It is explained why and it’s logical. they have a small, but busy kitchen and they want to be able to serve the course together for everyone and maintain the quality of their food. What is not pleasant is the volume and tone the waiters take with a larger party like ours (and the one next to us). They were yelling at us the entire time. I’m sure this intended so they would be heard by everyone. But since this is a small and intimate restaurant, it would be more pleasant had they simply repeated their message at both ends of the table at an acceptable volume. Also continuously yelling the message that this limit of 4 for each course was very strict and without exceptions was over the top. We did not need to be addresses like a bunch of unruly toddlers in need of a scolding. When we tried to order, we were told off once more: we were only allowed to ask questions and give our choice of dinner in the order the waiter wanted to write it down. this was all communicated at such a high volume that the entire downstair of the restaurant heard it. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly for an intimate dinner at one small table, but I would avoid it at all cost for a larger party. After the scolding several of us were underwhelmed with the food. Not because it wasn’t good, but because we lost our appetite.

Had a Sunday lunch with family between Christmas and new year. Very traditional bistro with very good quality food. Attentive and kind service. Most of the other clients were above 70 year old though so it was a very quiet atmosphere. Thankfully our children behaved!

Calm relaxed restaurant with lovely, friendly staff – with some fun banter and always a smile. Great suggestions and stunning food. Reasonably priced for such a place. Thrilled we went. Helpfully they speak great English – though I ordered an untranslatable ‘fish stew’ dish!
