This was the only place we visited twice while in SJDC, we could walk from our resort and the food was delicious both times, went for breakfast, crab cake benedict, pancakes, arrachera steak, french toast( lots of cinamon) all great. Hot fresh coffe and good selection of hot tea.

Fantastic Little find. The wife and I were walking from our stay at Viceroy in San Jose. Decided to take a walk, was pretty hot so we did not make it too far. We had already met our quota for Mexican fare and were truly “Jazzed” to find BISTRO. A cozy enough place not to far from the resort. I’m from New Orleans, so we noticed the decor was filled with interesting vintage Paris Jazz art, and the TV was showing French Black and White films with volume down and subtitles. The energy was a nice change from all the music and ambiance we have had for the last three days. My fish was perfect, and my wife had a small salad and a skinny Margarita. Service was great, and we had a lovely chat over some wine when done. Fully enjoyed it.

This restaurant is truly a gem. The decor is beautiful and modern, creating a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish.

The food was absolutely outstanding. Every bite reflected top-notch flavor and quality. I had the tuna tartare, and without a doubt, it was the best I’ve ever had. The crepes were also delicious—perfectly made and full of flavor. And to top it all off, the beer was ice-cold and refreshing—just what we needed.

The ambiance is so relaxed and enjoyable, making it a perfect spot to unwind and savor a great meal. We will definitely be back!

We are staying at a local resort and I was craving oysters. 2 places were on my mind. We decided to go here. To start with Bonnie is a Gem! She is Friendly, knowledgeable and knows how to sell … she recommended multiple dishes for us and was very engaging. Our server, was friendly as well and also recommended the same dishes as the host.. for apps we got ouster Rockefeller, lord those were the best oysters ive eaten like this, we also go calamari, it was fried crispy with a drizzle of bbq sauce, the calamari was cold but we still ate it. For entrees we ordered the roasted lamb and the chef special which was a pasta dish woth lobster, shrimp and a lemon sauce. Lamb, 10/10, pasta 10/10 oysters 10/10. Calamari 6/10 (due to temp)

We ordered a fountain drink and cocktail, cocktail was good 8/10. Overall spent $2800mxn with tip.

We loved this place for breakfast, so much so that we went twice in a row. The food was not only affordable, but incredibly delicious. One of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. Their french toast was so fluffy and delightful. My husband enjoyed the crab eggs Benedict. Please don’t miss out on their wonderful meals!

Food was just ok. Overcooked beef tenderloin and hamburgers. Slow service even though the restaurant was empty (3=4 tables). The waiters were amazing. Super nice and attentive. It’s a shame the food want that good. They did comp us free dessert.

Food and service were impeccable other than the usually flies that can get a bit frustrating but again expect that mostly everywhere.

Stopped by for a late lunch. It is a cute little restaurant with smart, modern decor. We took a patio seat in the shade. Great spot for people watching. We enjoyed the raw oysters, which were fresh with good flavor and side sauces. We also shared the lobster burger, which was very good. The bun was fluffy and grilled, crisp lettuce, and nice ripe heirloom tomato. Our waiter, Gustavo, was very attentive and is doing a great job! We would definitely return.

When researching places to eat near Cabo Azul, this place didn’t pop up on our radar. We happened to be taking an evening stroll after dinner and we were approached by a lady who basically recruited us to give the restaurant a try for breakfast the next morning. We arrived with a party of 6 on a Tuesday with no crowd. The service was excellent. They placed two tables together inside underneath a ceiling fan as requested ( we didn’t want problems with flies ) . The server took his time and explained all of our menu options and took our orders. The food came out fairly quick and was presented well. The only thing that I probably didn’t like was that the waffles came out on a bed of slaw. I probably would have separated the two. Even with that everyone was very satisfied with breakfast and would definitely return if we weren’t leaving that afternoon. If ever in Cabo again we would like to try dinner.

Update: October 19 2024

We went back after the fantastic breakfast yesterday.
A bit disappointed this time around.
The ice latte was so delicious yesterday so we ordered it again.
The server we had came back with just an ice americano. I think there was a language barrier which is understandable. So we told him it’s an ice latte. So instead of remaking it, they poured out half and added steamed hot milk into it. So now we have a very diluted coffee with hot frothy milk with just some ice left. At this point we just drank it. (See the last picture of the watery concoction)
I genuinely think it was a language issue but the second time I think it was a bit lazy.
Overall I love the food but I think the most integral part of any establishment is consistency and training of the staff.

We ordered the flank steak for breakfast and the strawberry crepe and caramel iced latte.
Everything was delicious!

Steak cooked perfectly, slightly over salted but it was perfect for the hot weather since I sweated everything out.
The strawberry crepe was flavourful and great texture in all the right ways. The jam was homemade.
The coffee was easily the best in the area.

I highly recommend if you are just absolutely sick of your resort food. Cause we were! Gotta start the morning off the right way.

We met the owner Sebastian who was there working on a new menu. Super friendly and made the whole experience very wholesome and wonderful. Can’t wait to come back and try the dinner menu.
