In this picture you can see tomatos, bacon, cheese and bourbon gem…. I see only cucumbers and some sort of egg a.k.a cheese.
Make sure when you order to ask if there is actually BACON, Tomatos and cheese like we all know it and bourbon gem.

Drinks were perfect. We started with a half dozen oysters, which were super fresh. The sauces that came with them were very yummy as well. Next was a lobster flatbread, which was tasty but needed a bit more lobster on it ( I would have gladly paid extra). The entrees were a pork shank volcano for him and the bbq pork mac and cheese for me. His entree was to die for. I had to send mine back as inedible (truly, I was not being a diva!). Staff was very attentive and understanding about the mac and cheese. I will definitely be back for the oysters and drinks, and maybe order the meatless flatbread. All in all, it was a good experience.

Was seated at the bar – music was cranked up and was difficult to hear or talk without being loud. Our waitress (Kelcie) was so very friendly and welcoming. The bartender brought everyone a small appertif to be consumed as a group at 6pm (seemed like a Fri routine, nice touch). We shared a beet salad which had 5 thinly sliced beets and very little cheese. The mushroom flatbread was good, could have used a little more seasoning. But all in all, better the service the moment we stepped in to the atmosphere and food – top notch and we will definitely return…and sit in the main dining room.

Bistro 83 has been the little close to home date night getaway for my wife and I. We stumbled upon it a few years ago. We enjoyed our experience so much that we decided this would be at least a two-time a year designated date. You could bring the whole family but we’re never even going to mention this place to the kids. If you sit at the bar the patrons are nice you can have a conversation with anyone. If you sit down for dinner the staff is friendly and attentive. I have never felt rushed out the door, which is important to me. Even when they have made changes to the menu and I wound up getting something I had not anticipated when I walked in the door I have enjoyed it. It doesn’t beat up your pocketbook either. Our last visit I had a beer and a Manhattan my wife had two or three martinis she had a seafood dinner and I had a half of a chicken. Meal cost for about $100. You can’t get a better deal than that for the quality. There are different types of rooms there as well so if you were seated in various areas it feels like a different place every time you go. If I had to search for something to complain about I would be hard-pressed. I’m not a fan of coconut rice but even that was good. Needless to say this will continue to be a date night for us.

Decided to try a new place for dinner. While it’s nice inside the service SUCKED!! The food was good, but not hot. Almost like it was waiting on the server to show up to serve it. Our server (Jeffrey) did a disappearing after he brought our food. Never came back to refill our drinks or ask how are food was. By the time he showed up & asked how everything was, we were done. My hubby advised him that you check on your customer. He had an attitude after that. Won’t be back or recommend. On a good note the food was really good.

Tried it for an anniversary dinner on new year’s eve. Got seated pretty quickly and someone came over with waters. 15 minutes until the server came by to ask us for a drink order. Another 15 minutes before drinks came. Never asked if we wanted an appetizer until we said something. Food took forever. Then finally was asked about our entrees. Got sat on some weird two top side table that barely fit into the section with another party of four next to us to barely get to the second seat. While several 4 tops sat unseated in a more spacious part of the bar. Decent poke nachos, but the flat bread and pasta dish were nothing special. Pricy for the quality of food. You can definitely find better places at the same price point. Also was told in the reservation confirmation email we were limited to an hour and a half in the establishment. Thought that was a long time for a dinner. Given the speed of service, ended up being about an hour and a half. Not even that busy for a new years eve.

Overall disappointed. Three of us ordered the scallops and risotto each plate came with just two scallops. For the price, that felt like a joke. On top of that, the dish was salty. As for the “Cuban,” it was hands down the worst I’ve ever had. Definitely no bueno. Wouldn’t recommend.

Met a friend here for lunch.
Furnishings and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!! Menu was the key deciding factor that got us to drive 45 minutes out of our way to dine here.
Iced tea is fresh brewed……
Server clearly wasn’t having a good day before we arrived and rolled her eyes when I responded to her question about the cook on my steak (I didn’t realize medium rare is too much to ask?)
For the beet salad (7” flat plate portion) and crab cake sandwich, water and iced tea (no refills were even offered) the tab would have been $70 + tip, except that the 3 oz. portion of steak $10 add-on to the salad was spoiled. The sour odor was strong enough to be smelled before the dish was on the table, though neither the manager or server acknowledged that they could smell it. Manager comp’d the salad. Tab was still $40 out the door.
I’m now doing mental gymnastics to find a way around this quality control problem to justify returning for the atmosphere…

Only our second time eating at this establishment and it was just as pleasant as the first time. Although we didn’t make reservations, they were able to accommodate us. Food came in a timely manner…raw oysters were to die for, and we should have ordered the dozen.

We went here this past Saturday for a friend’s birthday dinner. At the end of the night, the waitress brought over the dessert tray and said that since it was our friend’s birthday, dessert was on them. He picked out the Irish cream cheesecake. It never came. Not a big deal, right? I was looking over the receipt the next day…..THEY CHARGED US FOR THE CHEESECAKE. Partially on me, I should have caught it when paying the bill….but also, come on! Not cool. Just really, not cool. The only reason I’m giving them a two is because the Poke Nachos were delicious. This place is extremely basic.
