Truly excellent food and friendly staff. Wine offered was high quality as well. Great atmosphere, including a nice outdoor seating area for when the weather is good. Slightly non traditional service model. You seat yourself and order at the counter, then they give you a card and bring you your food. I didn’t mind this at all, but could be off putting if you were expecting full service. Would definitely eat here again next time I’m in McCall!

One of our very favorite dinner go-tos. Creative dishes, quality ingredients, friendly atmosphere with solid wine choices. The salmon dish is top notch!

Honestly, the best thing about this place is the view outside. The issues started with the hostess. At first, she seemed short and somewhat annoyed, but we brushed it off. We informed her that we had a reservation for outdoor seating, and she told us there would be a wait. No problem. While we were waiting, another couple arrived and told her the same thing, but they chose to sit inside. She seated them indoors, and about 5 minutes later, she moved them outside. That was a bit surprising, but we didn’t make a fuss. Finally, she returned after 10 minutes and seated us outside in a sunny area, despite several open tables in the shade. My son has autism, so the sun made him uncomfortable. After a few minutes, we asked the hostess if we could move to one of the shaded tables. She appeared very annoyed. When my wife asked if we were bothering her or making unreasonable requests, the hostess responded with an attitude, “Just move, do whatever you want.” My wife was shocked and asked to speak with the manager, but the hostess walked away. My wife followed her, and when the manager emerged from the kitchen, the hostess pointed at my wife and said, “She is mad at me.” My wife looked at the manager and asked, “Is that professional?” The manager apologized, and the situation was resolved.

Now, onto the food. We ordered the Tuna Poke Tacos, which were okay but nothing special. The avocado was not ripe yet and was hard. I would give them a 2; I’ve definitely had better (sorry, it’s the only picture I took). The main course took about 40 minutes to come out, if not longer; we lost count. Fortunately, our son’s food came out quickly; he had chicken fingers and fries, which to me, they were the best part of the meal. While waiting, we noticed a waitress who seemed lost, bringing the wrong food to tables and appearing annoyed and disinterested. My wife ordered the Shrimp Pesto Pasta, which she enjoyed, but I wasn’t a fan. I had the “Shoemaker Ranch” Bison Ribeye cooked medium rare. It was okay, but it was overcooked and under-seasoned. The mashed potatoes were bland and lacked flavor.

In the end, they offered us a free dessert to make up for the hostess’s behavior, but we declined. The manager ended up removing the cost of the two lemonades, which was a ‘nice’ gesture, but it left us questioning their approach. On our way out, the hostess apologized. As I mentioned, the view was the best part overall. However, in my experience, the food and service weren’t worth the money. There are many better restaurants in McCall.

I consider myself highly critical food. Most of the time I figure I can make it better myself at home. I was very surprised at how delicious Bistro 45’s food was. Husband got a crab salad panini and I got a club panini. Both soft, warm and bursting with fresh ingredients and bright flavors. Had the mustard potato salad – excellent! And the Mailbu chicken soup and it was delicious! We were very pleasantly surprised. Compliments to the Chef. The new establishment doesn’t seem to have the focus on wine the way the old one used to but the food is top notch.

Food ranges from croissants, soups, panini sandwiches and some dinner plates.
The pesto salmon plate is delicious & simple with neat presentation. The salmon was presented on a light bed of orzo pasta surrounded by sun-dried tomato sauce/paste and paired well with the dish.

They also have coffee and wine. Seating is open at tables as the facility is a converted shop which allows for overhead doors to let light in & be opened during good weather. Overall the atmosphere and food options are really needed for this area.

Absolutely adorable space and the most delicious food! We got the pesto salmon and the pot roast and it was like a home cooked meal! The cutest server around! Thanks for making our McCall stay feel like home

Had the Turkey hot sandwich. It was wonderful and filling. Staff was very polite and helpful. Atmosphere was the best out side seating and inside seating are both great. Will be coming again and brining friends. One of the best places in town to eat.

Went there on a Saturday afternoon. Easy to find a table and the view and service is good. Food quality and taste was ok. The tuna as fresh but the charcuterie board meats and bread tasted a bit stale. The ambience and view are good and likely justify the price.
overall, an ok place to try out one

Yummy food! The appetizers were great, try the mushroom empanadas & bacon wrapped dates. The steamed mussels were fishy tasting… but the broth was good. The short rib pasta was super creamy and delicious.

The staff is great. The view is great, right on the water & had deer outside. The atmosphere inside is very poor & sparse… doesn’t feel very “Mediterranean”. Over all, I’d come back! Tasty.

We ordered the caprese salad. A key ingredient is fresh mozzarella. It was a bed of lettuce. Old tomatoes. And a drizzle of balsamic. Terrible.

The charcuterie board: salami is old and discolored. Cheese was cut with shards of wax all over the cheese. Refer to pics for evidence. Avoid this place.
