Dinner at The Bistro was excellent! We sat on the patio in the courtyard, which was beautiful, and service was outstanding. Its an expensive restaurant – $$$$ – but the food met the price. The beef wellington was cooked to perfection and the chocolate souffle was amazing! It’s not the kind of place you go to every week, but if you’re looking for a really special dining experience, this is the place to go.

A truly wonderful culinary experience.
As if the menu wasn’t good enough, the daily specials are fabulous.
The ordinary becomes exquisite at The Bistro!
The Bistro Salad, the French Onion Soup, the Bistro Chicken, the Blackened Salmon, and the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, pictured with this review, can’t be beat!

Me and my family had tried theirs Thanksgiving set menu for two years now, and we might do it again this year. The menu for Thanksgiving was fantastic. Service was great and not a long wait at all for a pack house. There are many options for everyone to choose from. The Bistro is a great restaurant with plenty of parking and a very cozy ambient style. There is an outdoor seating if you would like, It is definitely recommended if you don’t feel like cooking during the holidays and want to have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with your family.

We took friends to dine at the Bistro to enjoy their lovely patio. We asked a young male server if we needed to order the Soufflé in advance, and he said he would take the order when he served us the entrees. When he came to pick up our dinner plates, we reminded him that he had not asked us which of the soufflé sauces we liked. Instead of saying anything about forgetting the soufflé, he said, well, there are other desserts you can have and walked away. When he returned, there was no dessert menu; instead, he dropped off the check and walked away with an attitude.  We mentioned the cold service to the male manager because we care about the restaurant. The man replied, ” Oh, sorry, the next time you come back to eat here, I will comp you with a soufflé. Well, with that kind of answer we likely won’t be back. Too bad.

They seated us by the pond and it was beautiful. The food was exquisite. Highly recommend the Lobster tempura appetizer and the bread pudding dessert. The beef Wellington was perfection as well!

My friend and I went to Bistro for a wine tasting that was also paired with appetizers to compliment the wine. It was only $18.95pp so quite a deal. We enjoyed the food so much we decided to stay for dinner with a table outside.
We started with the raviolis which were creamy, buttery and delicious. We then split the Chilean sea bass which came with an extra $3 sharing charge but we each had our own sides.
The sea bass was fantastic! The service was also excellent. I highly recommend Bistro!

What a complete mess this restaurant is! Our reservation was at 7:00. They “accidentally” gave our table to another party of 6 and then tried to seat us at a table for 4, squishing us in. We finally got a table for 6 at 8:00 ( in the bar area even though the reservation was fir inside ) and didn’t get food until 8:45. When the order came out, 2 of the 6 meals were the wrong food. They obviously need new management who knows how to run a restaurant and doesn’t clearly overbook. Revenues over service/ambiance/customers doesn’t work particularly when the season is over. A similar thing happened at Thanksgiving. We were seated 3 hours after our reservation. We will never go back.

The food and service at this restaurant is top notch. They have a diverse menu that can accommodate multiple diners with different likes. Chef Paul Hughes and owner Declan Hoctor have been together for 20+ years and the consistency and quality of the food and service reflect that. A large wine list mixed with old and new world wines along with an assortment of well crafted cocktails. Not to mention, they know how to serve a Guiness using the right gas, glass and pour.

This place should be called the retirement home as the food was made for old people. Sad, limp, tasteless and lukewarm. Everything was under seasoned, nothing had any taste and if it did it was in the extreme of sweet or salty.
I still cannot understand why you would put vanilla on an arugula salad? It tasted like icecream on vegetables, completely unpalatable.

At the end of the night I was so disappointed in the food that I legitimately started feeling concerned for the chef.

The only thing I can say was good was the bread and butter that came put at the beginning of the evening. Will not be coming back.
