We received such a warm welcome this afternoon for our late lunch. We enjoyed the coziness of the restaurant and the service was excellent. The steak was very tender and well seasoned and from the appetizer to the desserts we enjoyed every bite.

Had a lovely solo dinner here. Didnt know what to expect but everything was perfect! I had the Tagliata mazo, cooked medium well and the French fries. Fries were perfectly crispy on the outside, and the tagliata was so good and exactly what I wanted – some steak, light cheese and fresh arugula. Ovi, the waiter was super kind and accommodating, such wonderful service. If you like wine that’s on the juicier and lighter side, I’d recommend the Bolgeri. Delicious all around! Can’t recommend enough.

We had such an amazing experience at Bisteccheria Santa Croce! From the moment we sat down, the service was incredibly attentive — they (Aldo and Ovi) were always checking in to see if we needed anything without ever being overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious, and you can truly taste the quality. I’m not even a big wine person, but our waiter Aldo took the time to educate us about the wine, explained how to pair it properly, and made the whole experience feel special and comfortable. He also shared details about the steak quality and where it comes from in Germany, which made us appreciate the dish even more. Everything felt thoughtful, professional, and warm. We left very happy — highly recommend this place!

Service: Waiters felt dishonest. The first waiter we had was quite aggressive when trying to sell us on the steaks. Rather than explaining the options on the menu, he just kept talking about the steaks before we even had a chance to look at the menu.
After we chose 1.2kg of the Black Angus steak, another waiter came back and told us they can only do 1.8kg cut, which is much larger than what I had asked for. They said they can’t cut it any smaller which is very odd considering it’s a butcher shop. Seemed like they just wanted to force us to purchase more. We had ordered many other dishes already too but just didn’t want too large of a steak.
The steak came back much smaller than what they originally presented. I understand that meat shrinks but even the bone itself was much smaller. On top of that, the meat was so chewy and mediocre despite being one of the most expensive steaks they offer. 180€ ($215) steak yet it was some of the worst quality steaks I’ve ever had.
The bruschetta and pasta were fine, nothing memorable.

I had my last meal in Florence here and it was such a lovely experience! The service was friendly and welcoming, and the carbonara and tiramisu were incredible. Great place to stop before or after you check out the incredible Santa Croce. Cheers!

The quaint atmosphere, the fabulous staff and the star- the food!
We had the meat & cheese plate along with a sausage/pesto pizza accompanied by a fantastic Pinot Noir.

We had the Bistecca Vacca Rosa steak which was to die for, accompanied by some grilled vegetables. The waiter Aldo, was so patient and kind whilst we decided what we wanted and offered us good guidance. He even gave us a free cheesecake and limoncello and as it was our honeymoon, which was a fantastic touch to the beautiful evening! Both food, dessert and service were AMAZING! Definitely recommend a visit when in Florence!!

I had dinner at restaurant and it was great. I had the Chianini steak with roasted potatoes, spinach and tiramisu. They cut the meat for you but I ate it straight from the bone. My daughter threatened to expose me on Instagram with pictures. The staff was great, with a special shoutout to Aldo. He was patient and informative. If you want a good meal in a nice but relaxed atmosphere this is the place to go. You won’t regret it. Bon apetit.

My favorite place in Firenze. The service is great, the pici alla norcini is the one meal I have to stop and have when I am in Florence. Nowhere else is quite as good! I always make a point to come and have a meal, whether it’s the pici or the steak!
Away from the big landmarks and big prices, this place makes me feel at home every time, like Nonna is always in the back cooking up my favorites! Grazie Mille!

Amazing fresh, scratch-made Italian food! We loved everything from Chianti Classico to the tiramisu! My husband got steak with potatoes…excellent! I got Lasagna…amazing! Save room for dessert… Tiramisu is to die for! Finish the meal off with some delicious limoncello! Excellent, friendly service! Treated us like family. Don’t miss this gem!
