I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Bisonte Pizza.
I received a flyer advertising a large New York or Buffalo-style pizza with one topping for 50% off. Based on that promotion, I ordered a large pepperoni pizza for pickup, assuming pepperoni would count as the included topping.
When I arrived, I was charged an additional $3.99 for pepperoni. I was told that the restaurant considers cheese a topping, meaning the promotion only covered cheese. That is misleading. Cheese is a standard part of a pizza, not an added topping. If the deal only applies to a plain cheese pizza, that needs to be clearly stated. Advertising “one topping” and then charging extra for what most customers reasonably understand to be that topping feels deceptive.
To make matters worse, the pizza itself was extremely oily and greasy, to the point where it was dripping and difficult to enjoy. For the price paid, I expected better quality and clearer pricing practices.
Transparency and consistency matter. I hope management reevaluates both how promotions are communicated and the overall quality control.

My son and I were in Charlotte last weekend for the Bills game, a wonderful Mom and son weekend. After the game we walked to Bisonte Pizza after hearing it recommended on the ‘Centered on Buffalo Podcast’. Unfortunately, they were closed for a private party. The co-owner, Steve, was actually the one who was standing outside telling people which (after being in the restaurant business all my life) I really respected. He didn’t stand an employee out there, he did it himself. My son and I stopped and talked to him for about 10 min and we promised we’d come back Monday before leaving, which we did. Unfortunately Steve wasn’t there, but all I can say is WOW!!!
After hosting a huge private party they were out of some stuff so we couldn’t get pizza right away. We told our server if they got the missing ingredient before we left we would order pizza to go. We ate wings and homemade fries there – they were mouthwatering. Tasted like I was in Buffalo, maybe better, if that’s even possible. Oh, and they had LOGANBERRY – iykyk. The restaurant filled up shortly after we got there with ALL BILLS FANS . It was a great atmosphere!!
They did get the missing ingredient quickly and we ordered a sheet pizza and more wings to take home with us! It smelled, looked, and tasted AMAZINGGG!! I feel like I need to travel to Charlotte once a month to get food. There are no words to describe the mouthwatering goodness that is Bisonti’s Pizza!!
So sorry we missed you, Steve! Thank you for taking some time to speak with us – I need you to build a Bisonti Pizza here in Raleigh, please!! We will be back in a month for some more pizza and wings!

Pretty amazing place that seems like a sleeper spot in uptown. The pizza is consistently great, but the buffalo style wings are the real prize here. I get them medium with blue cheese and it’s one of those foods that you really need to take a break while eating to acknowledge how amazing it is. Perfect.

This place was soo good. I didn’t get a picture of everything else because it was so good. We started eating before I remembered to take a picture. Our waitress was amazing. So ask for Jolea if you go.

I’m from NJ and I like to try pizza everywhere I visit. Some of the best pizza I’ve had was in Buffalo so of course I had to try this. The pizza was really good! Great flavor. Really good crust in the buffalo style and good cheese. I’d definitely get it again.

First time here and had a good time. The restaurant had the whole Buffalo thing going on. The associates were nice and made you feel welcome.
I get the impression that a lot of the staff are new because when asked a question of what was on their chicken sub, which was great, the waitress didn’t know. It wasn’t a big deal but I gave the specific items I wanted and it came exactly the way I requested.
I’m just so great to eat somewhere in which you can get wings and they don’t have the overpowering taste of vinegar. These tasted like real Buffalo NY wings.

This is the most legit buffalo food you will find in Charlotte. I got a chicken finger sub, my brother got the stinger. Also we got a pizza to go. I added the photo of the pizza but forgot to take a photo the finger and stinger subs. And the wings are always cooked to perfection! And this place is wallet friendly, so bring the whole family

Don’t get me wrong, I love the pizza… but the service is below mid. Every time I walk in this place, I get stared down by a black woman on staff who doesn’t smile or even say hello, then I walk past her and ask anyone else to give me my order. Not sure what the deal what that is lol. It’s been different black women each time but the same story… Stare angrily, say nothing, then the petite girl from junior high in the back hands me my order. You would’ve thought you stepped in the wrong saloon. I’m black too, so don’t play the race card Johnnie Cochran! Just calling a spade a spade. Even calling the phone, they pick up like I hit their personal line. Im not Davonte from Tinder babe, I JUST WANNA EAT!

This place is amazing! But just FYI when you order peppers for your pizza – the descriptions are not clear. We ordered cherry peppers and it came with jalapeños. Not sure what that means their “hot peppers” are. But do not order thinking you will get red peppers. But overall – everything is delish!
