We drove about 25 minutes to visit Bisconte in Matthews after seeing so many positive reviews and articles calling it one of the “best pizzas in Charlotte.” Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype.
We ordered two pizzas, wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries.
We waited 35 mins for our food. The pizza was decent, but nowhere near what those glowing reviews suggested. The wings were dry, the mozzarella sticks looked and tasted frozen, and the fries were soggy.
One additional downside is that prices are not listed directly on the menu—you have to scan a QR code to view them, which isn’t very convenient.
Overall, this visit was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend the Matthews location based on our experience

Just left Bisonte’s and our experience was great! Service by Morgan was PHENOMENAL, as always. Food came out quick and everything tasted amazing. Love the subs especially the assorted or italian. Pizza tastes just like the pizza at one of our favorite Buffalo spots. It’s definitely worth trying!!

Very good pizza. Crust was amazing. You order at counter and they bring it to you. It was fast and we had no wait during weekday lunch time. Staff were all super nice. I would definitely say try this pizza especially is you like really cheesy pizza. Kids can also watch while they make pizzas. We really enjoyed this place during our visit and I recommend to try. Normal prices.kid friendly.also you can eat outside if you so like

First of all, only responding to good reviews is not wise. The is usually pretty good but service needs a little work. It seems like you really struggle with a rush, which is clearly affecting your customers. Some of the other reviews talk about price not matching service and quality which I agree with. If it weren’t for Brookhaven you’d probably not be able to keep this location.

I got a 50% coupon for a large pizza and good, because the pizza was not worth the $30 they price it at. I got a pepperoni and mushroom NY style, the toppings were unevenly scattered, the cheese was sliding off and it was messy. The pizza tasted ok, definitely could’ve been better. Service was nice and restaurant clean.

Unfortunately the quality and service in this place has gone to poor . We have had multiple situations where we found hair in food , served in cooked or under cooked food , and just overall not getting the order correct . Hate to say it but may have to stop supporting this location or overall this business . Kinda frustrating placing an order and not getting what you wanted and basically have to get what they give you . & when you say that it’s wrong or say something about the issue, it’s like a okay sorry situation. Hate this for them because at one point the service and quality was great . But yeah prices went up and quality went DOWN !

So … I’ve been to this location in the past and never had an issue .. same could be said about the location in Uptown. This last visit, we had our order taken, which was for wings and pizza. We got our wings in a reasonable time. There was a family seated right after we got our wings .. about 20 minutes later they rcvd pizza and wings .. still no pizza at our table. I waited another 5 minutes and approached the person working the front .. she asked someone else about our order .. the other person said “its coming out”. I politely said “thank you”. 10 minutes later our pizza came out .. which tells me, our pizza was never made. We ate and continued eating our meal. A few minutes later, the manager came out to do his “rounds” .. there were two booths in front of us and one behind us. He was as nice as can be to the other two booths and walked right past ours to the gentlemen sitting in the booth behind us. He visited and chatted with everyone else in the restaurant. Never approached us .. the rest of our experience was similar to this. We spent 70+ dollars on our meal which was sub par … and thats being generous. I dont have an issue with pricing as long as the food and experience align. Definitely not the case.

The small pizza was excellent, great combination of flavors, I liked the crust.
It probably would’ve been a little crisper in the middle/bottom if we had eaten dine-in.
We crisped it up at home and definitely recommend giving them a try. Can’t wait to try everything else on their menu!!

I stopped here for a deep and strong cannoli craving and man did they deliver the remedy. Creamy and crunchy, so very delicious. Perfect blend of sweetness.
Being a southern girl from birth, I’ve never understood the desire to eat messy chicken wings with so little meat benefit for all the work of getting a bite off the bone. Several years back someone introduced me to Bisontes, ordered me wings and the light bulb went off right over my head. So this is what real Buffalo wings taste like. I finally understand the craze now and am a wing consumer as long as they come from here.
The atmosphere isn’t the big deal here. Most people coming in were getting pizza to go. This place takes extra care to produce delicious food. I believe their secret must be that they don’t scrimp on ingredients.
Can’t wait to go back!
