Carlos was a wonderful waiter! Very helpful with the food suggestions and an enjoyable young man to chat with. We had garlic shrimp, steak, mackerel, and wood fired shrimp plus the chocolate clams for an appetizer. All were excellent but the chocolate clams were exceptional! Sangria was tasty and a reasonable price.

We tried many restaurants along the Malecon during our month stay in La Paz, and Bismarkcito is one of the few we visited several times. It’s in a great location with a view of the bay. There are outside tables and the inside area is open to the Malecon.
I guess they are proud of their German heritage, with a painting of the battleship Bismark mounted on the back wall.
We tried many seafood items, our favorite was Camarones Bismark, which are bacon wrapped shrimp with a hot sauce. We also enjoyed the lobster tacos.
The Margaritas are the best we had in town.
Service was pleasant and attentive.

Quite large restaurant with inside and outside tables. Extensive menu and many friendly waitresses. We tried the camarones al coco and the filete with shrimp both were excellent.
Place has wifi.
Would fully recommend eating at this restaurant.

Portion sizes are huge (big enough for 1 plate to be shared for 2 people), food is very delicious though! The grilled octopus was amazing, it came with such a flavour burst rice and good vegetables. Fish ceviche had no juice and was similar to a tuna salad. Had a beautiful view of the sunset!!

We were greeted by Rodney our bartender who made us perfect drinks and made us feel welcomed. We only had drinks but will come back later for food. Fresh squeezed fruit for cocktails. We came back for dinner, our server was great but most of our food was just average, a real disappointment. They also ran out of wine by the class, red and white?

We spent two weeks in La Paz trying all the restaurants along the Malecón only to come back again and again to the Bismark. We highly recommend our waiters, Kevin and Jose Louis, they welcomed us warmly, helped us with our Spanish, remembered our drink preferences and always provided great service with lots of smiles. Go early on Sundays, it’s the only day they serve paella mariscos ($250), it’s a huge portion you might want to share and it’s amazing! Their seafood dishes are the best, their prices are reasonable and they provided the quickest and friendliest service on the Malecón.

I love the restaurant’s setting. Very relaxing with the beautiful ocean spread in front of us.
I love that their salsa bar included a lot more than other places we went to.
Unfortunately the lobster taco was very tough and I couldn’t eat

Ramon took care of us with utmost care! He ensured there that our orders were perfect and that we had a great dining experience. The chef did a great job preparing our food. It was delicious! We also had front row seats to the most amazing views on the bay. We’ll be back!

This spot is, without a doubt, my favorite place to relax on the Malecón of La Paz. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The food is incredible, the cerveza is ice-cold, and the staff works together like a well-oiled machine, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Tacos Camerone (shrimp tacos) are a must-try, especially with a stop at the side bar to pile on your favorite toppings. But the true showstopper? The Ostionas a La Leña—fire-roasted oysters that are simply unforgettable. They take time to roast to perfection, but that just gives you an excuse to sit back, sip your drink, and soak in the breathtaking view of the Sea of Cortez. If you’re in La Paz, don’t just visit—linger, savor, and let the moment become a memory.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot with an unbeatable location, always buzzing with people. The food is solid, and their empanadas—only available at lunch—are a must-try! The service can be slow, but it’s always friendly, which makes the wait more bearable. Be prepared for a crowd, as it’s a popular choice, but the lively atmosphere is part of the charm. Great for a lunch stop if you’re in the area!
